Old Time Tune
I was jamming with my nephew Jakob Liljenwall, a Vancouver based musician, when this tune began to emerge. Jakob came up with the opening riff on cello banjo and it rolled from there. Perhaps next time we see each other we can record it together. I've included an MP3 high fidelity recording for those who would like to don a headset and get a better picture of how this instrument sounds. The Soundbird, a custom Paul Roberts tenor style banjo by Gold Tone, is a BanjoCrazy.com exclusive. Visit http://banjocrazy.com/ where all Gold Tone stringed instruments are available and where you can also read interviews with premier banjo players like Adam Hurt whose gourd banjo CD "Earth Tones" I had the honor of recording. Thanks for listening. Hope you enjoy. Banjo Crazy PauL
