Eddy, I've just borrowed an LP trad jazz record, of a very popular group from Brisbane called ''The Vintage Jazz @ Blues Band.'' Here's their take of ''Black Bottom Stomp,'' the lucky last tune on that album. [1982.] Supporting Eddy Davis' 4 String Forum Topic.
I Can't Love You Now
''Lance Maquire'' is new to banjo hangout, and he's given me one of his tenor banjo recordings to post . . . . "Roll Out The Barrel,'' with a bit of luck we'll hear some more from him. . . . Don.
''Lance Maquire,'' a good tenor banjo playin' old mate of mine, had a copy of this tune, played by ''Harry.' I'd never heard it before, and liked it a lot, so I'm posting it here, so you can have a listen. 21/5/14 I'm sorry for misleading you! but this is ''Lance Maquire'' playin' this, and not ''Harry Reser.'' Take a bow ''Lance,'' well played.

A favorite calypso by the late great Lord Kitchener. I was looking for that old-school calypso tenor banjo thing! My tuning is CGDG for the banjo, GDAD for the mandolin. That's also me on bass and guitar. There's a bit of collateral noise when I give the C string a good plunk, I'm not sure if it's the pickup, the hardware or the bridge. If anybody has some ideas I'm (as Ross Perot famously said) "all ears."
