An odd title for a 1920's Kentucky fiddle contest tune. No lions or tigers there, I'd think. The A part seems to have a big cat playing with his prey. The B part he's eating! Change tiger to kitty cat and man to mouse and I can handle the thought, barely.
I worked this up just today as my contribution to the Old Time TOTW for 8/27/22. I worked it up from a recording of fiddler John Herrod.
Rickard Maple Ridge. Key A
My arrangement and performance of Dirk Powell?s ?Waterbound?
Jay Ungar?s Ashokan Farewell, this is my arrangement for clawhammer.
As played by the Indian Creek Delta Boys and in the Dear Old Illinois collection.
A clawhammer banjo rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow
Me playing Jack of Diamonds on a fretless banjo I recently finished building

A version closer to Roscoe Holcomb's setting, in G tuning rather than D.
