Have you ever asked your kids to share their thoughts about you being a firefighter? Join Craig, Dane, and Jeff this Friday for the next episode of Tailboard Talk, where they will be talking with some special guests who will be sharing information about firefighters from a perspective we might often overlook--our children’s. Dane (11) and Kjersten (9), Nelson and Gunnar (12), Cade (10), and Teague (6) Carley will share what it has been like for them to have parents who are firefighters. This is not only a good chance for us as firefighters to hear about what we do and the affect it has on those closest to us, but it is also an opportunity for those of you with children to share some time together listening to the show. Your children might even want to call in and share their own thoughts. We encourage calling in to the show with any contributions you or children may have. After the kids share their thoughts, Dane and Craig will recap the Higher Reliability Organizing articles they have written for Fire Engineering and describe why it is important to the fire service.
