I received a “gi-numbo” number of emails this weekend (well, a bit more than a few dozen) from listeners to Phedippidations who wanted to know why iTunes hadn’t included the latest episode (Fdip295) in their podcast download folders. Today, I’ll take a simple 2 minute explanation and drone on and on for way too long about what happened, and why I have to limit the number of episodes in the feed.
Episode 295 of Phedippidations is due out this weekend, and I wanted to let you know upfront: that this one is kinda personal.
So what DOES that make him? Listen and hear my opinion his “2 hour and 50 minute” marathon PB. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-19462506
Tonight I’m going to attend, what is very likely to be, the very last game ever, of my Worcester Tornadoes. The night will be bittersweet, but I will enjoy the moment and find happiness at the park. Baseball means a lot to me. It’s much more than just a game to me. It’s a link to the past and happier days. Everything comes to an end. Be Happy.
The single best reward for producing content in social “new” media is meeting good people from around the world. Tonight I got to meet two friends who I have known since I first began producing Phedippidations. It was an honor to spend time with my friends Gordon and Jo Scott.
After a great New England weekend my wife, stepson and I ventured to our favorite local vineyard to taste the latest releases. Today I’ll talk about why tasting different vintages is important and how choosing a great wine to share with friends feels so good. www.TheWineChatPodcast.com
Yesterday I repeated my friend Adam Tinkoff’s declaration that “Podcasting is dead”, and while Jennifer was right that I knew this title would be controversial, it certainly generated an excellent conversation over on Facebook about The Future of social media and what’s NEXT! (Hint: this is all GREAT news, and YOU are a huge part of it!)
I’m all over the place with this episode, talking about a new Wine Chat Podcast, the low price of New England lobster and our plans for traveling the world.
I’m back at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field to watch my Worcester Tornadoes get blown away by the Rockland Boulders (of Rockland County, New York). It’s not going well for my team, but that doesn’t mean I’m having a bad time. Baseball is both “nothing” and “everything”, as I’ll try to explain.
Something terrible happened in my quaint New England town over the weekend, and I’ve decided to stop trying to make sense of it all and have given up my search for the answer “Why?” Instead I’m going to appreciate MY life and the lives of others all the more.
“What’s up Steve?” you might ask. “Not much” I’d respond…but as we head into the weekend I’ll rattle off, here, some of the things that I am “up to” with respect to podcasting, my puppies, running, health and of course wine!
An anonymous friend and fellow runner wrote me to set me straight about something I said in a previous episode of this podcast, and to suggest that I might have become ”less tolarent of people that (I) disagree with? “. In this episode I don’t defend myself, instead I raise the question: could this be true?
Today I’m going to stand up on the soapbox (no, not an actual box of soap, I recorded this as I was driving to work; it would have been terribly dangerous if I was standing on a box of soap as I was driving!), to talk about my general “philosophy” regarding relationships. I’m sure you have the same feelings as I do.
My nephew John Glenn and I are having a short (annoying) discussion on Cavendish Beach looking out on the Gulf of St. Lawrence; where his thoughts turn to all things FOOD.
