The world is a better place for the life of a young man by the name of Jacob Tinkoff.
I’m answering an email from a friend and fellow runner, Dr. Michael, who has something to say about my “DNR” request and recommended an amazing movie for me to watch: http://www.kumaremovie.com/
A new episode of Phedippidations is due out this weekend, with the goal of answering the question: "How Fast Can Homo Sapiens Ever Expect to Run?". Happy First Day of Snowy Spring from the Sick Ward in Oxford, MA. Also: The date for the WORLD WIDE FESTIVAL OF RACES has been annouced, run with us!
For me, this is the season of Lent...kinda of an important part of the year: a time of self reflection where I’ve learned something (or rather, accepted a truth) about myself that I didn’t know before. I’m not going to talk about that (but will on the next episode of Phedippidations)...today, I want to respond to Shanes third email to me. We’ll talk about my views on the sanctity of life and my respect for a woman’s life to choose what she should do with her body.
Another email from another great listener, Chris from Canada with news about his new podcast: “Voices of Canadian Leadership”! Check it out on iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/ca/podcast/voices-canadian-leadership/id619881860
Today’s a huge day in the Roman Catholic Church, we have a new Pope: Francis the first, and to celebrate I’m going to read a great email I received from a fellow runner, cool person and rational atheist. Shane asked me to comment on the way that Churches tend to slow down the progress made in society to make the world a better place. I think I answered his question?
I’m talking about religion in this one. I’m a Roman Catholic; not perfect...kind of a mess, but my CORE beliefs are grounded in good things. What’s going on in Rome right now is a big deal. It does not matter if you are a Catholic, but we’re all hoping for a leader who will help make the world a better place. Pray with me.
One of the least known, under produced podcasts to ever hit the Pod-o-sphere has come to an end; known as “Section 229” or “431” or...actually, I really can’t remember...Mathew joins me to talk about his dismal ratings, low subscriber numbers and why I’m so much better than he is.
It’s snowing again in Boston, and I’m sooooo done with this place...BUT, I promise not to whine (too much) about it. Come to Boston in the Springtime, when I promise the snow will be gone and there will be laughter in the air. Go to www.CincoLoco.SteveRunner.com for more information.
I’m heading home after a long weekend in New York City, searching for a Heart of Gold.
I’ve been working long hours and I’m looking forward to a night with friends, food, wine and song. The love of my life, Lynn is meeting me on Long Island and while I’m feeling pretty beat up, I’ve got a glass of Rioja waiting for me.
I’m back in New York City, rushing again to catch my train after a looooong day at work. Yeah, sure...I’m rambling a bit, and sure...sure, the audio in this one is breaking up a bit, but it’s all good (and I made my train on time!).
I’m heading back to New York City for a weekend of layer 3 Flatiron fun. Today I want to INVITE you to BOSTON to run with us and share a fine hoppy beverage or two for el Cinco Loco. Go to http://cincoloco.steverunner.com for more information.
