Tonight's Guest WeatherBrain is a retired Rear Admiral and Chief Oceanographer for the US Navy.  He's also a former NOAA Chief Operating Officer, and Director for the Center of Solutions to Weather and Climate Risk, and a professor of meteorology at Penn State.  Admiral David Titley, welcome!  

Our show tonight focuses on looking back at notable TV meteorologists and their impact on the science of meteorology and broadcasting as a whole.  Tonight's Guest WeatherBrain is is a meteorologist and journalist based in Boulder, Colorado. He has written on weather and climate for the National Center for Atmospheric Research, Weather Underground, and many freelance venues. Bob Henson, welcome!

Tonight's Guest WeatherBrain is the Communication and Public Affairs Officer at NOAA's National Hurricane Center.  He's worked for NOAA for over 20 years and prior to that he worked almost three decades as a broadcast meteorologist.  He's retiring on June 1st.  Dennis Feltgen, welcome!

Tonight's Guest WeatherBrain is the Chief Editor of the Monthly Weather Review.  He's at the University of Manchester in the UK.  He earned his undergraduate degree at MIT and then studied at the University of Washington for his Masters.  He then attended New York State University for his phD.  He then worked at NSSL, and then became a Professor of Experimental Meteorology at the University of Helsinki.  David Shultz, welcome!  Joining as Guest Panelist is meteorologist and weather historian Sean Potter.  Thanks for joining us!

Tonight's Guest WeatherBrain grew up in Rockford, Illinois.  He graduated with a BS in meteorology from NIU, and started his career in broadcast meteorology in 1999.  He eventually became the Chief Meteorologist at WREX-TV in his hometown of Rockford, Illinois.  He has since entered the political arena and is now running for Congress in the state of Illinois.  Eric Sorensen, welcome!

Tonight's Guest WeatherBrain was raised on a farm in El Dorado, Kansas.  He got his first job as afternoon announcer at KOYY radio, and has worked at several radio stations throughout his career.  He earned his Broadcast Meteorology certification at Mississippi State in 2006.  He is the President and co-founder of The Storm Report.  Dan Holiday, welcome to WeatherBrains!  Also joining us on this episode is photojournalist Brian Emfinger.   He grew up in Arkansas and he's been a photojournalist for 10 years.  A few years ago he started storm chasing full-time.  Brian, welcome!
