Tonight's episode topic relates to current issues and the projected future of the Great Salt Lake.  Our first Guest WeatherBrain tonight is a professor in Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Utah.  He's an air quality expert as well as air quality issues relating to the shrinking of the Great Salt Lake.  Dr. Kevin Perry, we are honored to have you on tonight.

Tonight's Guest WeatherBrain is a well-known veteran of the show.  He's the Science and Operations Officer for the National Weather Service in Birmingham, AL.  Kevin Laws, good to see you again!  We are also honored to have a fellow meteorologist at the NWS Birmingham featured on tonight's episode.  A graduate of UNC-Asheville's meteorology program, he's been with NWS Birmingham since 2015.  Gerald Satterwhite, thanks for taking some time to chat tonight.

He serves as Rapporteur on Extreme Records for the United Nations/World Meteorological Organization, and in this connection is responsible for researching and verifying global weather records. We focus tonight on Typhoon Mawar, which recently struck the island of Guam in the western Pacific.  Tonight's Guest WeatherBrain previously appeared on show 854.  He's the Warning Coordination Meteorologist for the NWS in Guam.  He's been there since June of 2010 as a Forecaster, and WCM since 2020.  Landon Aydlett, welcome!  Also with us tonight is the Science and Operations Officer for NWS Guam.  He's been with the NWS for 13 years.  He's also the NWS Guam's Tropical Cyclone Program leader, and he handles their social media accounts.  Brandon Aydlett, welcome to the show!

Tonight's Guest WeatherBrain is the WCM at the NWS Indianapolis.  He graduated with a degree in meteorology from Purdue University.  He will be the on-site meteorologist for this year's Indy 500.  Sam Lashley, welcome!  Also joining us tonight is AlabamaWX Blog's very own Scott Martin.  He earned his operational meteorology certificate from Mississippi State University in 2015.  In May 2021, he received his Bachelor's in Geosciences Operational Meteorology from Mississippi State.  He co-founded Racecast Weather in 2014 as a way to combine his love of racing and weather.  Scott, welcome!

Tonight's Guest WeatherBrain works for OU as a Research Associate at the Cooperative Institute for Severe and High-Impact Weather Research and Operations.  His primary role is connecting research to the needs of Emergency Management personnel.  He also volunteers with McClain County, Oklahoma EMA.  David Hogg, welcome!  Also joining us on tonight's episode is special guest and Kansas native Andrea Burns.  She's an Extension Agent for K-State Research and Extension.  Her background is in Agriculture and Natural Resources and she regularly works with local farmers and those in horticulture.  Thanks for joining us.  Last but certainly not least, joining us is a meteorologist at Kansas State University.  He runs the Kansas Mesonet and works in the State Climate Office.  He also works in predictive services for the Kansas Forest Service.  He was born and raised in Ohio.  Chip Redmond, welcome!
