Tonight's Guest WeatherBrain is a weather sensation and well-known YouTuber.  He was born and raised in eastern Kentucky.  He is an American meteorological analyst and YouTube personality. He is best known for his weather forecast discussions, a weather model commentary show centered on forecasting short term and long term weather events. Ryan started creating weather videos online when he was only 14 years old. He created a website that aimed to predict school closings in his local area and drew thousands of visitors per season. His current YouTube channel, “Ryan Hall, Y’all” was created in 2012. However, no content was actually uploaded to this channel until January of 2021, when he started making his weather themed videos. Tonight's Guest WeatherBrain is the Research Meteorologist for the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere at Colorado State University, and works from home in Enid, Oklahoma. He earned is B. S. in Meteorology at SUNY Oswego in 1986 and his M. S. in Atmospheric Science at Colorado State University in 1988. Throughout his 34-year career, currently contracted with the National Weather Service (NWS) Meteorological Development Laboratory (MDL), he has been at the forefront of the research-to-operations (R2O) process of new technology for improving NWS severe weather and tornado warnings. He was a NWA Board of Directors member from 2016-2018, and coordinator of the NWA Research Operations Nexus (RON) Meetups between 2015-2020.  Greg Stumpf, welcome to the show!

This week, we introduce our new full-time Panelist to the show.  He's been Chief Meteorologist for FOX23 in Tulsa Oklahoma for over 12 years.  James Aydelott, welcome aboard!!!  Tonight's Guest WeatherBrain is a guest suggestion.  He's a professor of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Nebraska. He is also the director of TORUS (Targeted Observations by Radars and UAS of Supercells), where he quite literally flies in the face of storms, seeking the reasons some supercell thunderstorms generate tornadoes while others do not.  His project, a collaboration with the University of Colorado, NOAA and the University of Oklahoma, includes manned aircraft, fixed wing drones and on-the-ground instruments mounted in SUVs. His goal is to improve forecasting and increase public safety by reducing false alarms. He is in the midst of a research season, the first since COVID, where for the first time his group will provide real-time data to National Weather Service meteorologists for their forecasts.  He attended Texas A&M for his undergraduate studies and attended the University of Illinois for his phD.  Dr. Adam Houston, welcome to the show!
