Happy Tuesday from GeekScholars Movie News, presented by Eclipse Magazine. We have a great show for you this week. Since we'll be covering reviews of both the trailer for Dark Shadows, as well as our thoughts on the new 21 Jump Street movie, we thought it would be appropriate to start the show off by discussing what televisions we think should be made into feature films. So give the show a listen and let us know what you think! Do you agree with our picks? Do you have some other suggestions? We then close things out, as always, with a whole boatload of quickies, including updates on a variety of fun projects in the works. We would love to hear from you, so please submit comments or questions to us by writing to: mail@geekscholars.com. Mail is awesome!

It's our 30th anniversary here at GeekScholars Movie News! Well, not 30 years, but 30 awesome episodes, and we have a fantastic show for you to celebrate. Really, it's awesome. We kick things off with a discussion of the The Bechdel Test- What is it, how is it relevant, and why is it important. In a nutshell, The Bechdel Test is a quick, if not quirky way, to identify gender bias in movie roles, in terms of quantity and quality. It's a great discussion you'll want to listen in (and send us your thoughts on as well!) After that, we weigh in on a hilarious premise- the true story of Nicholas Cage's favorite rare Superman comic-book being stolen from him. The team behind Reno 911 have written a script on this one event and turned it into an epic comedy we all hope makes it to the big screen. Next, we address the rumors that a film focusing on Spider-Man villain, Venom, may not be all that far off, with Josh Trank of Chronicle fame eying the director's chair. Finally, GeekScholars Fox and Chris weigh in on John Carter and themselves befuddled by the lack of love for it from their fellow critics. This is a fantastic episode, not to be missed!
