The Pro Wrestling Rewind “Rewound” a few times tonight, as the Power Andy Knowles and the Bronxfather had to pull a Groundhog Day, restarting the show because of a technical glitch! The hosts then got serious, sort of, and discussed the post Extreme Rules Brock Lesnar temper tantrum, the Bella Twins’ contract expiring, the title changes that took place at the Pay Per View, and much more. We then went old school, as Bronx and The Power talked about the best and worst finishing moves in wrestling, the Extreme Reunion show and it’s controversy, the “blockbuster” announcement by Hulk Hogan and his TMZ-like angle for TNA, before taking phone calls and wrapping up the show. This week, the guys talk about Rey Mysterio’s second suspension and why it might be a good idea for Rey Rey to retire. Also: Does Paul Heyman really have input with Brock Lesnar’s new gimmick in WWE? Why is Hornswaggle tagging with Brodus Clay? The guys then talk about an idea involving Eve Torres is actually something taken out of TNA’s playbook (surprise, surprise). Bronxy discussed the upcoming Extreme Rules WWE Pay Per View, the “demands” Brock Lesnar has made, the tragic car accident involving former WCW star Buff Bagwell, the sad injury to WWE Diva Beth Phoenix, and much more. The card for Extreme rules was broken down, along with some TNA talk and their drop in the ratings as of late. The phone lines were then opened as The Bronxfather took phonecalls, one of which appeared to be a failed attempt at a prank call! The show started off with a few production snafu’s as JJ blamed it on 4:20 day before jumping into the latest “News of the Week” sponsored by Wrestlezone.com. 30 Minutes into the show the boys were joined by Devon “Hannibal” Nicholson to discuss his latest challenge to Kurt Angle after dropping out of the US Olympic Trials, the latest on his pending lawsiut against Recent WWE Hall of Famer Abdullah the Butcher, Devons latest pro wrestling venture with partner Lanny Poffo called HPW (Hannibal Pro Wrestling) , winning a silver medal in Wrestling and securing a spot as an Alternate on the Canadian Olympic team with 2 months training, and his problem with former Olympic Gold Medal winner and TNA talent Kurt Angle and his challenge to Angle. Devon joined Charles and JJ for about an hour to discuss these topics and more. The boys returned from break to talk about the latest episode of Smackdown, Charles ran down the latest gaming news and notes, Sean Beckerman returned for a late “This Week in Wrestling” and JJ debuted a new segment discussing a retro movie…this weeks selection was 1986’s “One Crazy Summer” dtarring John Cusack, Demi Moore, and Bobcat Goldwaith.
