There's been so many changes and features released that Blizzard re-released the entire beta...well ok we're not sure how much got enabled, but you still have to re-download the entire client. We do know that the pet battle system has been unlocked and Sigmandis and Xantar plan to square off on next weeks show (had to postpone due to the download), and we also mention some portals that have appeared in the Panda capitol cities. This is only made worse when you have add ons like Altoholic that will actually calculate your time played on all alts and give you a grand total (BTW if you're wondering what an altoholic is its someone who really loves leveling extra World of Warcraft characters). Heads up, for some reason there's about 25 seconds of silence at the beginning of this episode. Don't worry we're still a World of Warcraft podcast. Both of your hosts participated in the World of Warcraft annual subscription, so we're busy enjoying our free copy of Diablo. Blizzard hasn't had a lot of time to make any news worthy changes to the live WoW version, but we still have some beta news, AND a helpful WoW 101 article about getting your PC (or Mac) to run WoW better. More after the break Week in WoW Both of our hosts haven't spent much time in game. Xantar is already on Nightmare mode and Sigmandis is struggling to keep up in Normal Act II. He blames work and being a Witch Doctor. World of Warcraft News Blizzard has added some Pandaren emote voices to male Pandarens. We play a handful of them for you. Also a rather large spoiler is included in this section, but I won't ruin it for you. Cloud serpent dailies have been released on the beta. You can find out more by speaking to Instructor Skythorn at the Arboretum in the Jade Forest. Xantar can not pronounce the word Arboretum. WoW 101 Sigmandis gets the hickups because his fancy pants steak dinner gives him gas. The hosts go into detail to explain some things you can do to your current system to speed it up for gaming, or if you're in the market for an upgrade or new computer they tell you what to look for. Its cheaper than you think. Emails The hosts respond to Dafyed's question about account wide progress towards large achievements like Loremaster. Xantar admits he was wrong, but the answer is a little more complicated than it seems. Sigmandis admits he completely screwed up the dates when scheduling the one and only Twizz to come on the show. Sigmandis has promised he will get Twizz on the show, and that he will buy a calendar. Contest Information Sigmandis reminds listeners while he loves them all they can only win one time card every 30 days. The reason for this is the time card provides you with 30 days of WoW time so there should be no need to win one more than once every 30 days. He realizes that some people may have more than one account or wish to give it to a family member or friend, but the prizes come out of the host's pocket and they need to make sure the prizes arn't being resold. Another apology for getting this episode up late. We're still trying to get used to Logic Pro and Sigmandis decided to make his voice 10x lounder than Xantar's on his recording so we had to pull a backup. We cover some newly released beta content, tell beginners how to use the Real ID system, and talk about Blizzard's big announcement about cross-realm-zones. World of Warcraft News Finally Wrathion and his friends have had their purposes revealed. Madam Goya in The Veiled Star in Taverns of the Mist sells otherwise unpurchasable goods in a gold only auction. Things that can be found here (as speculated by items listed in the beta) rare mounts, tabards, pets, recipes, gear such as removed original naxx gear, etc. Ashes of A’lar started bidding at 20k! Cool new option for a gold sink. Freshly datamined from the beta comes Druid armored feral forms for Bear and Cat! These things look wicked, and are very reminiscent of the Nordrassil druid T5 Set. This is for use with the new druid ability Incarnation. Mix that with the ability to glyph to make travel form a mountable stag, and Druid’s are looking pretty dressed up come mists! New Pandaren dances! Males shuffle as per the LMFAO song, and females do the recently viral carameldansen motions. Account level achievements. Most achievements will now be account level, so if you earn loremaster on one character, your account has earned it, and you can use the title on other characters. Some rewards will be level restricted (ie no riding Invincible at level 10), and things like reputation will still be per character. Progress of an achievement is not culminated together from multiple characters. WoW 101 How to use real ID system Real ID is a system that you can use to stay in touch with players no matter what Blizzard game they are playing. With Real ID you can chat with your friend no matter what toon or realm they are on. You can also use it to chat with your friends who play Starcraft or Diablo. In the past the only way to add someone on Real ID was to get the email they use to log into their Blizzard account. Instead of typing in their toon name to add them as a friend you would type in their email address. The problem with this old system is players didn’t want to give out their email address to friends in WoW. Also the old Real ID system would show the players real name. The new system allows players to exchange battle tags. Battle tags allow you to have the same functionality as Real ID, but you are not able to see the players real name. Real ID will allow you to do cross realm raiding, dungeons, and in MoP allow you to meet up in cross realm zones. You can also do cross realm battlegrounds. Both Xantar and I am very sorry this took so long to get up. 10 minutes before the show I must have done something to anger the tech gods as nearly anything in my apartment having to deal with technology has been failing. Why 10 minutes before show you ask? Well that was the time the Macbook Pro that we use to record the show decided to die. Then the backup solution I had been working with Xantar on his end decided to not function correctly. Then my microphone boom's table clamp decided to come apart, then the TWITCH.TV feed decided to break, then the shock wave plugin on all my web browsers decided to stop functioning, and finally when I came home from work yesterday my washing machine decided to die as well. So I was finally able to take the time to pull the TWITCH.TV feed into Logic Pro, try to dress it up some, and get it posted on the site. I'm even throwing in show notes! Mounts will be account wide! Despite technical difficulties at the beginning of the broadcast the Holy Shatt crew pulled off a successful live stream. We've had this in the works for months now so we're really excited that we pulled it off. Of course such a special occasion couldn't exclude special guests.
