Given the brevity of this week's challenge and Game Informer's publication of their top 300 video games of all time in celebration of their 300th episode, the Nerds have an extended Top Nerdy to discuss the Top 10 Video Games lists each of them put together. Afterwards, they wake up for their challenge to watch the first episode of Rooster Teeth's live action post-apocalyptic show, Day 5!

After some more Nintendo themed Talk Nerdy, Myles and Drew try to wrap their feeble minds around Serial Experiements Lain, the avant-garde science fiction anime from the late 90's!

In a bit of a twist on our Challenges, we were challenged to watch the first season of the Syfy zombie drama, Z Nation, NOT because it's a beloved classic held dear by the challenger, but because it's a fun, ironically brainless romp of B-grade silliness. How did it hold up for the Nerds? Will they grant this show mercy? Tune in to find out!

WE'RE BACK! Due to flu-related issues, we've been out of commission for a couple of weeks, but now we've returned with our delayed SPOILERCAST to Marvel's first offering this year: BLACK PANTHER! Drew forces us to shift gear and we get lost in the insane future of...1997! That's right, this week we were challenged to watch the genre-bending, instant cult classic film, Turbo Kid!

Brian Michael Bendis' first foray into DC Comics has been announced, so the three Nerds chat a little bit about the comic company's current trajectory while Patrick basks in the glow of his new television. They then find themselves thrown into a strange and unknown future for this challenge, watching the first season of AMC's post-apocalyptic genre bender: Into the Bandlands.

Myles talks about his love of candid conversations thanks to his newly discovered favorite show, Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee, during Talk Nerdy before the three of us discuss this week's challenge: reading the first two volumes of the both heartwarming and heartbreaking manga, My Brother's Husband.

Drew and Myles fawn over the potential of Nintendo Labo in Talk Nerdy To Me before enrolling in the self aware visual novel, Doki Doki Literature Club! We couldn't delete Drew's character file before another round of his Star Trek Discovery talk-back, though.

We're back! And after talking some video games in Talk Nerdy, we enter our first challenge of 2018: Dreamworks and Guillermo del Toro's Trollhunters on Netflix! We know from our 2017 Wrap Up how Myles felt about the Netflix animated show, but how does it stack up for Patrick and Drew? Listen on to find out!

We wrap up another calendar year here at The More You Nerd with our annual MOREY AWARDS! We discuss our absolute top favorites in the categories of books, film, comics, video games and television. For the most part, all three of us had vastly different loves in 2017, which made for a fun, varied chat this year. We thank our listeners for another excellent year and can't wait to catch you all again in 2018!

DC's team of superheroes are finally gracing the Silver Screen and boy howdy is the reaction polarized! So what did TMYN crew think of Justice League? Listen in and find out!
