How to keep the flame alit? How to burn all year? How to reintegrate the lessons and the love in to the Default World? These are the questions the Four Broke Dudes confronted as they stepped back in to their former lives in the Northwest. "REINTEGRATION" is the final installment in DJ Playaduster's Green Man Trilogy. DJ Playaduster's Green Man Trilogy, which began with "DISORIENTATION," leaves the dusty playa and begins the difficult efforts to reenter the Default World in this second installment, "REORIENTATION." You may as well just call it "Hyper Primbly's marsupial thumbdrive," if you know what I mean.

I have been exploring the genre of Dubstep recently. It's heavy and dark - kind of like the winter that is moving into the Northwest. Its not really a reflection of my mood, but it does reflect my wide ranging musical explorations. This Sampler is five tracks from Jazzsteppa, Peverelist, MRK1, Gravious and Martyn. None of whom I've ever heard of before. My guess is that this will be as new for you as it is for me. I'm not totally sure about it yet, but I wanted to drop it on ya and give you something new to ponder. This is the first Sampler that I've dropped and it probably won't be the last. I'll use this short format to drop a little taste of the new music that's in my ears. In this case, its a new sound and I've only aquired a few tracks. I may also use the Sampler to give you a taste of the other styles of music that I've got buried in my collection. You might like it. You might not, but at least have a little taste and find out! "DJ Playaduster!! I had such a great time at Boogie Universal, loved the crew. Sorry to hear about the structure...." So writes BIM Tim, a DJ with the Rootabreaka soundsystem based in L.A. -- a fine group of gentlemen who define themselves thusly: RootaBreaka: (Bassica nar nar. napoboomica) n. Also called POSSE. 1. A collective of bassavvy individuals grown underground, with roots deep in various music scenes, harvested and used to drop subalicious bass bombs on unsuspecting party people. I found a dusty, crusty CD in the Boogie Universal kitchen the morning after Rootabreaka performed in the Boogie Pyramid and it had this very mix on it, compliments of BIM Tim. I just had to share it with y'all. The playa seems so, so far away right now and I hope this mix brings a few particles of it back. It does for me.
