Power Transformation and Experiencing God (Mark 9:1-13) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 52:34

Follow Me - 24: Many of us live pretty powerless and shriveled lives, settling for mediocrity rather than the fullness and abundance offered to us by Jesus. This is at least in part due to our shriveled view of Jesus. In this message we explore a proper view of the person and work of Jesus and a Christian life characterized by power which comes from the dynamic work of the Holy Spirit.

 You're Already Dead (Mark 8:34-38) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 55:20

Follow Me - 23: Jesus doesn't sugar-coat following him. He says it is about denying yourself, picking up your cross and following him with everything we are. Remember - you follow a guy who was crucified. Put your cup on and get in the game! Be willing to take a nasty email for the sake of someone's eternal life! The only way to live this way is to accept the fact that in Christ you are already dead.

 This Changes Everything (Easter 2011) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 54:09

The historical and personal realities of the resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth from the dead - why they can't be ignored and how they impact our lives.

 Rebuked (Mark 8:27-33) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 55:30

Follow Me - 22: Is Jesus just your Saviour but not your Lord? Not every view of Jesus is true, even if it's flattering. Everybody has a version of Jesus, but most are a reductionist view which falls short. Jesus clears up who he is and that his identity and his work must include suffering, death and his subsequent resurrection while addressing how we follow him in the real world.

 Achtung Baby (Mark 8:11-26) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 55:35

Follow Me - 21: Jesus warns his disciples that if they are not careful they could, over time, turn on him; that there is something in them, fermenting, with the potential to end in disaster. He also shows them that the reason this potential exists is because they don't see Jesus for who he really is. And then he shows them dramatically the solution to all of this.

 Sign Language (Mark 7:31-8:10) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 56:33

Follow Me - 20: A weird thing has happened in our culture. Jesus has become cool. Madonna, Pamela Anderson, Justin Timberlake and every person who wins a Grammy claims that Jesus is their "homeboy". But, as this story shows, Jesus is not cool. It is hard to make Jesus palatable to our culture when he does stuff like he does in this story including giving a grown man a wet willy, while grabbing his tongue. In this message we explore why Jesus did this and more.

 Dogs (Mark 7:24-30) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 55:33

Follow Me - 19: In this fascinating story of Jesus' run in with a pagan woman, he tells her that she's a dog and a great conversation ensues about which we explore our mission, our identity, and God's honest desire to listen to us and respond.

 Why Religion Doesn't Work (Mark 7:1-23) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 55:14

Follow Me - 18: Many people reject religion because of hypocrisy. So does Jesus. Jesus critiques religious approaches to God and life. Its dangerous to add rules to the Bible. Real connection to God is not about external traditions but about the state of ones heart.

In Defense of Miracles and the Bible (Mark 6:30-52) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 56:45

Follow Me - 17: Why is it rational and plausible to believe in miracles, the historicity of the Bible, and what Jesus can do with your life when you put it in his hands and not your own?

 True Grit - The Prequel (Mark 6:14-29) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 39:02

Follow Me - 16: Long before the Coen brothers were producing Oscar-caliber dramas, a story unfolded that would make for a perfect blockbuster Hollywood thriller. A tale of sex, manipulation, and jealousy all of which led to the murder of John the Baptist, was a ominous precursor to the road that Jesus would walk. It is a stark reminder that to be a follower of Christ we must have desire, courage, and even true grit.

Do Justice: Uttar Pradesh | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 46:40

Village Church's global mission plan to transform an entire Dalit ("untouchables") village in India through gospel-centred education.

 Faith Skepticism & Christian Emptiness (Mark 6:1-13) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 56:19

Follow Me - 15: Faith is often seen as the opposite to reason and rationale. Biblical faith is not blind, vague or generic. It has a very specific shape and content to it which changes everything about us. In this passage we explore that content and see how it challenges both skeptics and believers at the deepest levels of their being.

 Jesus-Fathers-Hope (Mark 5:21-43) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 58:02

Follow Me - 14: Most us relate to Jesus on our own terms. In this message we explore two people who desperately depended on Jesus in ways that made them look silly. We see how to father our kids and lead our families well, and hope in the face of our ultimate enemy - death.

 The War (Mark 5:1-20) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 50:47

Follow Me - 13: At the center of Christianity and our mission as a church is transformation of people. To see people transformed into fully devoted followers of Jesus. But in order to see that occur in people's lives we must focus on the mission and the battle against evil, sin and Satan. It is when we forget about the war that we get lazy, domesticated, and fall into sin.

Jesus Take the Wheel (Mark 4:35-41) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 50:06

Follow Me - 12: This changes everything. Jesus was fully human. Jesus was fully God. This story of Jesus calming the storm emphasizes both of those things. He slept because he was tired. But when he woke up he stopped the wind from blowing demonstrating his meticulous sovereignty over all things. If this story is true it changes everything about your life.
