April 13, 2022 - Season 12, Episode 114 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the latest news concerning the Pittsburgh Steelers, and that includes talk about the team having more quarterbacks in for pre-draft visits this week. We get into a quick discussion about if the Steelers will either draft a quarterback after the first round or none at all.Steelers center/guard J.C. Hassenauer has now signed his exclusive rights free agent tender, so we go over that news. We also go over the news related to upcoming services for quarterback Dwayne Haskins, who passed away on Saturday. As part of that, we go over the planned service that will take place in Pittsburgh, per a Wednesday morning statement that was released.Alex has started his annual “Look For” study and so we go over his Wednesday post in that series related to the wide receiver position.In the second part of this Wednesday show, Alex and I are joined by site contributors Devin Jackson and Owen Straley for yet another draft roundtable discussion. We continue on with talk about the top five quarterbacks in this year’s draft class We also cover several other positions during this discussion with a lot of focus on defensive backs and wide receivers.Before letting Devin and Owen go, we get their thoughts on several non-quarterback prosects they have been scouting that fit the Steelers. We also get both to make some draft predictions later in the roundtable session.After talking quite a bit with Devin and Owen, Alex and I talk about the latest mock draft rankings released by Mel Kiper Jr. of ESPN. April 11, 2022 -On this Monday version of The Terrible Take, Alex Kozora discusses the tragic death of Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins and more importantly, the stories celebrating his life.

April 11, 2022 - Season 12, Episode 114 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I unfortunately must talk about the sudden and tragic passing of Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins on Saturday morning. As you would expect, the passing of Haskins produces a lengthy discussion that includes us covering the comments from other Steelers players and others that knew the quarterback personally.We unfortunately must also briefly discuss some of the horrible commentary on the death of Haskins that also surfaced on Saturday.After a pause, Alex and I then carry on with the rest of this podcast. We go over the latest major media mock draft by ESPN’s Jordan Reid that surfaced Monday morning. He did all seven rounds for all 32 teams, so we look at all the selections he had for the Steelers.We also look at the mock draft released on Monday morning from our own Jonathan Heitritter and discuss all his selections.Alex and I continue to discuss the 2022 quarterback class in this episode and this time we go over some very distinctive stats of the five main players. Two stat groups revolve around throws outside the numbers and the other one is third down and 7 and longer pass attempts.We then close out this show by answering several listener questions we received via the email machine.

We also talk about the latest on free agent safety Tyrann Mathieu with him being in the New Orleans area this past week.The Steelers pre-draft visitor list for 2022 is staring to grow so Alex and I make sure to receive the latest additions in the middle of the week.Some new details related to the two-year contract that quarterback Mitch Trubisky surfaced on Tuesday, so Alex and I make sure to hit on that topic in the first part of the show.In the second part of this Wednesday show, Alex and I are joined by site contributors Josh Carney and Tom Mead for another draft roundtable discussion. We start of by teasing Carney’s latest Steelers mock draft that hit the site Wednesday morning that includes him having a quarterback as the team’s first-round selection at 20th overall.Alex, Josh, Tom, and I then get into an hour-long draft prospect conversion that mostly revolves around the top five quarterbacks in this year’s class. There are quite a few different opinions on these five quarterbacks and a lot of different concerns are voiced.After talking quite a bit about the quarterbacks, Alex and I get Josh and Tomlin to talk some about a few other draft prospects at other positions they have worked on and studied recently.
