Season 10, Episode 1 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can and in this Friday show, Alex Kozora and I get right to discussing all of the comings and goings from Thursday that included the Pittsburgh Steelers reporting to Saint Vincent College in Latrobe for the start of training camp.We have a long conversation about the Steelers signing head coach Mike Tomlin to a contract extension on Thursday and how that was the right move. Both Merril Hoge and Louis Riddick appear to be very bullish on the 2019 Steelers so we review what all both said this past week.Alex and I go over the latest reported 18-game proposal the NFL apparently has for the NFLPA and what a few players such as defensive lineman Cameron Heyward and guard Ramon Foster seemingly think about it.I recently named three underrated Steelers offensive players to watch the remainder of the summer so Alex and I review those names and more. This topic includes us discussing if head coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Kevin Colbert will both get contract extensions later this summer.ESPN analysts Matt Bowen had an interesting post on Wednesday about the Steelers heavy usage of 00 and 22 personnel groupings during the 2018 season so Alex and I dive into his findings to show why more context is needed. We discuss if we think the Steelers will once again use both of those personnel groupings heavily in 2019 and if tight end Vance McDonald needs to see more snaps in 22 personnel plays than he did last season.In the middle of this episode, Alex and I are joined once again by John Eisenberg, who covers the Baltimore Ravens for the team’s official website, and he fills us in on all that has transpired with that organization since the 2018 season ended. We go over with John the Ravens free agency losses and additions, several of their draft picks and offensive and defensive expectations for the 2019 season.
