Bernie Sanders continues to be disregarded by the mainstream media. Even when they talk about him they are dismissive about his prospects. It is time for Sanders to seek out the alternate media. Any candidate not sanctioned by the corporatocracy will be ignored in an attempt to make them irrelevant. That is the game. But we can change the game. We have the power to change the game. Unbelievable but true. The case of “International Franchise Association vs. City of Seattle” is now being heard in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. The franchisers are claiming that a living wage violates their Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The members of the International Franchise Association claim the city of Seattle showed “animus” – or hostility – to corporations because the law goes after corporations as a disfavored minority. That means corporations think their civil liberties are being violated just like ex-slaves of the 19th century. It sounds surreal but the International Franchise Association with outside financial assistance has hired conservative corporate lawyer Paul Clements who is famous for arguing cases before the Supreme Court. A report issued by the Straus Project for Military Reform reveals how our old F-16 fighters consistently defeated the new $1.5 trillion F-35 fighters in secret tests – even though the military saddled the F-16s with heavy fuel tanks and armaments. You’ll listen how the planes can’t dogfight, they can’t determine friends and foes in long range attacks without revealing their location, and their stealth technology is ineffective. The $600,000 helmets the pilots wear are ineffective in combat, bad weather, and landing. There are 30 million lines of software code to operate the planes. Furthermore, the planes are being dubbed “hangar queens” because they require so much maintenance that pilots only get about one-fifth the training they need. It is a fiasco and Congress is unwilling to stand up to the military/industrial complex to demand accountability. This past Friday Talib Kweli discussed his support for the Black Lives Matter Activists who interrupted Senator Sanders' speech in Seattle this past week. As has been reported this was the second time those activists have interrupted a Democratic Candidate's appearance within the last month. In recent days, these activists have shown up at a Jeb Bush appearance as well.  Their actions, while criticized heavily but Sanders' supporters particularly, have prompted candidates to adopt a racial justice platform.  This is significant as noted in Dan Johnson's recent article since they are changing the platforms of major party candidates who are running for President of the United States. A significant achievement. Instead of criticizing them we should be embracing people who are persistent in making their voices heard by any candidates. The world we live in has big money running the show so to see this type of reaction to activism is indeed beautiful. Today we will discuss how Jeb Bush cannot help channeling his brother George W Bush’s failed narrative, propensity to lie, and policies. Can he be so naive to believe that can get him elected? The following Jeb Bush statement echos his brother more succinctly and is much more inconspicuously dangerous. “If sanctions are imposed by the United States then other countries would have the choice. Will they look at Iran as a business proposition?” Jeb Bush asked. “Perhaps jeopardizing their relationship both commercial and political and diplomatic with the United States? I think that choice would be pretty clear for some countries, maybe not Russia and China to your point. But certainly other countries would have to deeply consider whose side they are on.” Is he channeling George W Bush? Is that not the same as ‘You are either with is or against us‘? This Friday night at 8:00 PM EDT on "A Cup Of Joe" war on drugs hero Paula Huff stops by. I first heard about Paula as a defendant fighting a nightmare of a case. Paula was denied a public defender and supporters for her were also not allowed in the courtroom. THSi took action. We traveled to Tuscon and filled the courtroom. A defiant Paula looked back and thanked us before being taken away to serve a prison term for a crime that was not a crime...... Paula has taken this situation and owned it. Her inspiring story  that leads us to her run for public office is riveting and we welcome YOU to join us for a cup of Joe as she tells it.  "I am applying for TPD Chief of Police, even though I'm not qualified. I'm doing it because after I'm not hired for chief of police, I am running for Tucson mayor. I cannot vote, but I can run for office. I am not qualified to be police chief, but I am qualified to be the police chief's boss. Born in Orange County, CA, Paula moved to Tucson, AZ in 1991. Paula earned a bachelor's degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Arizona. Paula worked as a technical recruiter, putting scientists and engineers to work, and also as a law enforcement transcriptionist. Paula was a medical marijuana cardholder authorized to cultivate 12 plants. Despite being diligent about staying within the bounds of the law, as well as following doctor's orders, Paula was raided, held at gunpoint naked on her porch and charged and jailed. After a furious court battle that included Paula's refusal to take a plea bargain, Paula was sentenced to one year in prison. Since being released Paula has been working as a Sales Manager volunteers as an adoption counselor and for the Human Solution International.  A victim of a rogue SWAT Team that robbed her, a prosecutor who ignored her medical marijuana card and a corrupt Judge who refused to allow her proper counsel.
