Ron Paul 2012 Podcast

On Thursday, Congressman Ron Paul rallied another group of energetic supporters in Seattle, Washington. The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reported that over 1300 showed up at the SeaTac Double Tree Hotel to hear Dr. Paul speak out against the wars abroad and the ever-encroaching intrusion of the federal government. In case you haven't been following the controversy that exists in the aftermath of the Maine caucuses, I thought I would post some audio including the coverage of the irregularities that exist. The caucus- which was called for Romney last Saturday- reeks of some of the same shenanigans that came out after the contest in Iowa last month. As you may know, the caucusing in Washington County (which just happens to be home for Ron Paul's strongest support in the state) was cancelled due to a few inches of snow. Yet the election was called for Romney, despite the fact that less than 200 votes separated the two according to the Maine GOP's initial figures. Moreover, the published tallies for Waldo County inferred that noone had voted there at all! I have seen conflicting reports as to whether or not the Paul campaign continues to contest the results (Dr. Paul never conceded defeat last weekend)- but at this point, I would contest anything and everything! "Conservative" media has been silent on this issue- Fox News has essentially dropped all coverage of the Paul campaign. Ironically, it is MSNBC's Rachel Maddow who has covered the situation like a blanket on her evening program, along with WXIX-TV's Ben Swann. Due to the loud demands of Ron Paul supporters, Maine will apparently be recounting caucus-goer's votes (though Maine Republican Chairman Charlie Webster assures us that the outcome will be the same). Presidential hopeful Ron Paul spoke before a packed audience at the Roper Auditorium in Twin Falls, Idaho this afternoon. Back on the campaign trail, the Republican candidate is on an Idaho and Washington state tour over the next couple of days. The Congressman spoke about the need to restore individual liberties, and to cut $1 trillion from the federal budget in the first year. Congressman Ron Paul spoke with Chris Waltzek, the host of Goldseek Radio, for this week's Goldseek.com Radio Gold Nugget. The two spoke about auditing- and eventually ending- the Federal Reserve system, the ongoing bailouts of European banks, the inevitability of monetary reform, and other topics of economic interest.

Ron Paul called into FNC's Your World with Neil Cavuto on Monday, to talk about the results of the Maine caucus, the fight for caucus delegates, and a amusing retread from the 2008 campaign- Obama's Orwellian "Truth Squads" that will (with the help of law enforcement and sympathetic District Attorneys) remind us that the President is a Christian, born in the old US of A, who will not raise taxes on any family that earns less than $250,000 per year.

In this week's Texas Straight Talk telephone update, Dr. Ron Paul gets to the heart of the divisive measures contained by the Obamacare mandate- as exemplified by the administration's birth control controversy with the Catholic church. Rep. Ron Paul appeared on CBS' Face the Nation on Sunday, and spoke with Bob Schieffer about what's next for the campaign after a disappointing loss in the Maine caucus. The Congressman vowed to stay in the race, and insisted that only our campaign can defeat Barack Obama.

Congressman Ron Paul spoke to supporters who came to the Seasons Event and Conference Center in Portland, Maine. After an extremely close 2nd place finish at the caucus, Dr. Paul remained optimistic, telling his supporters that: "I would bet we will control the Maine caucus when we go to Tampa!" The past week of the campaign has seen four more primary contests come and go, with surprisingly little media coverage of the man who who perhaps had the best week of all (besides the happy authoritarian, Rick Sanitorium). The press is starting to catch onto the fact that Dr. Ron Paul is most definitely in this race for the long-haul, and his organization has been focusing on a little thing we like to call delegates. We can all be frustrated by the non-binding nature of many of these early primary and caucus states, but we didn't make the rules! Dr. Paul can do significantly better in terms of delegates than even his opponents who may have bested him in some of the straw-votes! Unsurprisingly, the MSM has hardly mentioned the latest polling data that shows Ron Paul running second nationwide, behind only Mittens Romney. Dr. Paul has regularly polled well against Obama, himself- but his 21% among GOP contenders is particularly promising. For now, we await for the results of the Maine caucus, that will end up a close finish on Saturday between Rep. Paul and Gov. Ron Paul talks to Lew Rockwell about who’s resisting the wars, the emerging executive dictatorship, and the Fed

On Friday afternoon, Sen. Rand Paul addressed attendees of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) 2012. The Senator took the entire family mantle to the conference this year, as Congressman Paul opted not to attend. The conference, held yearly by the American Conservative Union, took place at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington DC. Senator Paul took something of a mocking tone towards President Obama, and urged people in attendance t0 think for themselves and vote with the conscience. We have a bit of a lull in the action here, as we await the results of the Maine caucus (which Ron Paul is wining thus far) and prepare for the Arizona and Michigan primary contests on February 28th.
