The TouchArcade Show - 109 - Under the Oppressive Thumb of Tom Nook | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:07:19

This week on the TouchArcade Show, we circle back around and finish our discussion about the big reveals at E3. Most of the conversation deals with DRM and the delivery of games on Xbox One and PS4. Of course, we also touch on Microsoft's 180 on its policies and the all-digital future we're all heading towards. Later in the show, we do talk about iPhone and iPad stuff. At the top of our Games section we praise new games like 2K Games' XCOM: Enemy Unknown. In the news section, we also discuss the removal of Baldur's Gate and all those cool MFi controller rumors. It was a fun show this week, so we hope you enjoy it. If you'd like to listen in, just hit one of the links below. Additionally, you can subscribe to us on Xbox Music and, of course, iTunes. Subscriptions are cooler and a great way to support us, so consider it!  The TouchArcade Show - 108 - Phoning It In, Quite Literally | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 27:10

On this week's SPECIAL episode of The TouchArcade Show, Jared and Eli sit down with me to talk about the games they saw on the floor of E3 2013. This is a shorter show for a couple of reasons, the biggest being that we wanted to cut down on the amount of noise we'd be forcing ya'll to listen to. You see, during E3 Los Angeles becomes an Internet black hole. We couldn't use Wi-Fi or a LAN because the signal sucked so bad, so we had to talk to each other via the phone. And phones, as you know, don't sound so great for podcast purposes. Next week, however, we'll talk about E3 as a whole and touch on crap we couldn't get to this week. Overall, I think this was a pretty good show despite it's length. Give us a listen by clicking one of the links below or, hey, subscribe to us on iTunes or Xbox Music. This method is actually cooler since the downloads come instantly and in the background. iTunes Link: The TouchArcade Show Zune Marketplace: TouchArcade.com Podcasts RSS Feed: The TouchArcade Show Direct Link: TouchArcadeShow-108.mp3, 16.4MB And here are your show notes: GAMES Deus Ex: The Fall Asphalt 8 Zombie Highway: Driver's Ed FRONT PAGE Bladepad, Another Kind of Controller E3 2013: Scosche "smartROLL" Bluetooth Dice are Pretty Cool Logitech and MOGA Reportedly Working With Apple On Upcoming Controllers

 The TouchArcade Show - 107 - Jared's Wacky Birthday Adventures | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 56:55

On this week's episode of The TouchArcade Show, we talk about Jared's Big Day Off, the perils of climbing, iOS 7's new look, and drop some sick tips on E3 travel. When we're not chatting about that, we dig into some App Store games. Rodeo Games's awesome turn-based strategy game Warhammer Quest leads off this part of the podcast, while radical titles like Deep Dungeons of Doom, Kingdom Rush: Frontiers, and Minecraft bring up the rear. Balance between irreverent games talk and stupid stuff, we have it! Yay! If you'd like to listen, feel free to hit one of the links below. You can also catch us on iTunes and Xbox Music. This way's the easiest to listen to us since the downloads are instant and usually perform in the background. This week on The TouchArcade Show we've got two special guests: Marianne Schultz joins us to talk about why she wouldn't be a good cast for Shredder and a mysterious super-virus joins Eli producing the most wicked cold ever. Later, we dig into the "life-changing" surprise buried in Curiosity and how it ended up being a cross-marketing kind of thing. Also, we talk about some new video games: Defense Technica, Solstice Arena, and World War Z all see time. If you'd like to listen in, try one of the links below. This week on the TouchArcade Show, we spit some more game about the next-generation. At the top, we discuss the reveal of Microsoft's streaming TV box that also happens to play video games, Xbox One. Topics include: streaming TV and how you won't be able to do that with a smaller ISP, the need for an always-on connection, NFL Sunday ticket, and a bunch of other stuff relating to next-generation gaming. In the second segment, we do manage to bring it back to iOS. Poker Night 2 leads off our games section, while other titles like Warhammer Quest, Combo Breakers and more bring up the rear. In this week's episode of The TouchArcade Show, we make the best of an (arguably) "slow" week by discussing the issues revolving around this week's latest releases. For example, we dig into runner fatigue and Chillingo's brand image. We also talk about what kids are playing and why genres that our touch devices don't do so great tend to click with them. In addition to this, we dive into Trucker: Parking Simulator (don't laugh), Gravity Guy 2, Blitz Brigade and more.
