Bloomberg says sources familiar with Sony's plans shared details of a new service code-named "Spartacus" where PlayStation owners can pay a monthly fee for access to a library of games. This is the same model used for Xbox's popular Game Pass service. Animal Crossings: New Horizons new glitch strips villagers of their clothes. Also, the new 2.0 update to Animal Crossings: New Horizons has brought new castle items allowing for players to recreate landscapes found in Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild and other LOZ titles. IGN and Rogue Games are partnering to produce Rogue Jam, a brand-new game jam that's offering exclusive development deals along with $800,000 in total prizes to competing indie game developers. On today's IGN The Fix: Games, Battlefield 2042's latest update has, possibly inadvertently, revealed some upcoming skins for the game - and many players don't seem pleased that 'Father Winter' is coming to town. Battlefield 2042's Update #3 adds weekly missions, improvements to menu UI, and over 150 gameplay fixes - but it also seems to include a range of new cosmetics. As shown in the tweet below, some of the Specialist skins included are a little outside of Battlefield's more serious norm, including a Father Winter skin for Boris that sees him sporting a Santa-like cloak and a white beard. Halo Infinite players are learning how to put aside their differences and communicate in one of the world's most sacred languages - teabag dancing. In a clip posted by Reddit user Local_Floridian , the player can be seen trading weapons with an enemy player during a match. Microsoft has announced that subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will gain access to monthly bonuses in Halo Infinite, just for being signed up for the service. In a new blog post shared on the Xbox website, the company announced the news that those signed up to the subscription service will be able to gain access to additional content bundles that include a range of useful in-game items. 343 has addressed the current state of cheating in Halo Infinite. In a thread of tweets, community manager John Junyszek explained that the developer had 'anticipated' the issue in the game and that it was 'committed' to taking action against offenders. Actually learning how the brains of animals work not only benefits our relationship with the animal kingdom, we can learn a lot about ourselves and how our brains work. In other regular gaming news, Microsoft has announced what Xbox Games with Gold subscribers are getting next month, and you know...they're not bad. Don't expect the new Call of Duty or Battlefield in there, but some solid picks of games from the past ten years. And hey, they're free. And finally, we got some Mario movie news. The internet was set ablaze when it was announced that Chris Pratt was playing Mario. Many had the fair question of "what does Chris Pratt even sound like playing Mario?" and a producer on the movie may have answered that. Obviously we don't have an audio sample, but Pratt might be doing Mario sans Italian accent. But we don't actually know, yet.

Today on IGN The Fix: Games, A single image of a house in the remastered version of GTA: San Andreas has sparked fan speculation that it is, in fact, the first screenshot of Grand Theft Auto 6. Posted on GTA Forums, the image is found among photos on the wall of San Andreas' UFO-themed Lil' Probe'Inn and, somewhat appropriately, has kicked off a new conspiracy theory - that Rockstar has surreptitiously tucked the first image of GTA 6 into its latest remasters. Halo Infinite won't be getting a co-op option for Campaign mode until May 2022 at the earliest, and Forge mode will be even further down the line. Speaking to Eurogamer, 343 head of creative Joseph Staten confirmed that the game's extension of Halo Infinite Season 1 means the two much-requested features have been delayed. CD Projekt Red has clarified that the studio currently has no plans to bring Cyberpunk 2077 to Xbox Game Pass, despite rumors suggesting that it might be on its way to the subscription service. In response to speculation (as reported by VGC) that the game may be on its way to Game Pass, CD Projekt Red's Global PR Director, Radek Grabowksi confirmed that this isn't the case.

On today's IGN The Fix: Games, Sony has reportedly cut production plans for the PlayStation 5 by around one million consoles due to component shortages and logistic constraints. And with less consoles being produced, it could be harder to buy one. A report from Bloomberg cites sources familiar with Sony's operations. Those sources claim that Sony was originally targeting more than 16 million PS5s to have been produced in the year ending March 2022, but that figure has been cut down to about 15 million. Ubisoft has announced that Vaas: Insanity, the first of Far Cry 6's roguelike premium expansions will arrive on Tuesday, November 16. According to a press release the DLC - which sees actor Michael Mando return to play the iconic villain role - will be available for players to download on November 16 and can be purchased as part of the game's Season Pass. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction will arrive on January 20, 2022, and the price of the standard edition has been lowered to $39.99 USD. Ubisoft announced that the PvE shooter spin-off from Rainbow Six Siege will arrive with full cross-play, cross-save, and cross-progression. It will also introduce a cross-play Buddy Pass - every copy of the game comes with two passes to invite other players to play free for 14 days.
