On today's IGN The Fix: Games, Horizon Forbidden West's latest patch fixes several gameplay, quest, and graphics issues alongside reducing how often Aloy mentions her stash. Lost Ark enjoyed a historically strong launch when it was released in mid-February, exploding to the top of the charts on Steam, Twitch, and other platforms. It has since leveled off somewhat, but that doesn't make its initial surge any less impressive. Sitting at an impressive 134k viewers on Twitch, it was topped only by Grand Theft Auto 5 and the newly-released Elden Ring. On today's IGN The Fix: Games, Ukraine's deputy prime minister, Mykhailo Fedorov has called on "all game development companies and esports platforms" to temporarily stop support for Russia and Belarus in a directed open letter to Xbox and PlayStation. The open letter calls for companies to "temporarily block all Russian and Belarusian accounts, temporarily stop the participation of Russian and Belarusian teams and gamers in all international esports events and cancel all international events holding on the territory of Russia and Belarus." Developer Bungie said Destiny 2 is not supported on Valve's new handheld or any device that uses Proton, Valve's Linux solution for playing Windows-compatible games, and those who attempt to get around restrictions may be banned. On today's IGN The Fix: Games, Xbox Game Pass games for the first half of March have been announced by Xbox, and the headline game this month is Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. These games will leave Xbox Game Pass on March 15, 2022: Nier: Automata, Phogs!, Torchlight III, and The Surge 2. Twitch streamer Hasan Piker also known as Hasan Abi raised over $100,000 for Ukraine relief in partnership with CARE in less than half an hour yesterday. On today's IGN The Fix: Games, The Pokemon Company has announced that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, a brand new open-world Pokemon adventure, will be released on Nintendo Switch in late 2022. Announced During Pokemon Day 2022's Pokemon Presents, these two new Game Freak-developed games will feature a new region and its three new Gen 9 starter Pokemon have already been revealed. At the beginning of the game, Trainers will need to choose between the Grass Cat Sprigatito, the Fire Croc Fuecoco, or the Water Duckling Quaxly. Elden Ring has already dominated the gaming sphere since it launched on February 25 and, at least on Steam, it's only growing in popularity. Per SteamDB data, Elden Ring has hit record peak concurrent users every day since it was released. On today's IGN The Fix: Games, Bandai Namco has apologized for a number of performance issues affecting Elden Ring players, including numerous complaints of frame rate issues on PC. Bandai Namco acknowledged the problems, saying that it would be "constantly working to improve the game so that it can be played comfortably on various PC environments and platforms." As it did during The Game Awards 2021, It Takes Two has officially won Game of the Year at the 25th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards. While Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart took home the most awards for the night, It Takes Two won the ultimate prize at the show from the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) that celebrated the best games of 2021. On today's IGN The Fix: Games, Elden Ring has seen the release of a 1.02 patch that addresses a few elements, such as controls and frame rate drops - and Bandai Namco says you should update before playing the game. Announced in a news post, the 1.02 patch is coming for PlayStation and Xbox versions of the game, with no word on a PC equivalent just yet. The patch is primarily being used "to improve the stability of the gameplay." Nintendo has acquired long-term partner SRD, a programming specialist it has worked with for almost 40 years. SRD (short for Systems Research and Development) has worked with Nintendo since 1983 and even had a hand in making the original Super Mario Bros and The Legend of Zelda games. On today's IGN The Fix: Games, FromSoftware has made playing Elden Ring in co-op much easier than in its previous games - and easier than the previous network test made it seem. Elden Ring features a system broadly similar to Dark Souls, Demon's Souls, and Bloodborne, in that you must first use a consumable item to open your world up and allow co-op allies to visit you. However, rather than demanding a semi-rare item that you must scour the world for, Elden Ring uses an item that can be crafted from incredibly common materials. Valve has released a new tool that will let you see exactly which games from your Steam Library will be compatible with the Steam Deck. Those interested in seeing which games Valve's upcoming handheld gaming PC will be able to run can head over to the Steam Deck Compatibility page and log in with their Steam account to see if their Steam Library games are Deck Verified, Deck Playable, Unsupported, or Untested. Today on IGN The Fix: Games, FromSoftware has revealed the exact time PC and console players will be able to begin their adventure in Elden Ring. The official Elden Ring Twitter shared an infographic with the times Elden Ring will become available digitally, and PC players will have a bit of a headstart over those who choose to play on console. The controversial logo for Street Fighter 6 bears similarities to an Adobe Stock image. The creator of the stock image has told IGN they now want to sell the exclusive rights for it to Capcom. As first pointed out by Ars Technica's Aurich Lawson (below), the Street Fighter 6 logo bears a striking similarity to a logo design available through the Adobe Stock image store, available with an extended license for $80, and created by a user called xcoolee. Today on IGN The Fix: Games, A video game reseller has discovered hundreds of factory-sealed Nintendo and Sega games from the 80s and 90s inside a storage facility in Nebraska. Hoards of SNES, Sega CD, Genesis, Saturn, and 3DO games were put in storage after a local store closed down in 1994 and have remained untouched until now. Despite Skull & Bones being announced in 2017, with a barrage of trailers and gameplay showcases, things have remained quiet on it since. The swashbuckling title born as a spinoff from the Assassin's Creed series has made more headlines about departures than anything else. Apparently, though, development is going just fine according to Ubisoft. And it's all brought to you by Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection!

Get it on PS4, whether that's physically or digitally, and upgrade to PS5 for free. Why should you do this? Well, it's pretty simple. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask will officially be available to all Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members on February 25, 2022. However, one update to Cyberpunk 2077's NPCs was deemed too demanding to bring to PS4 and Xbox One. Cyberpunk 2077's latest 1.5 patch came with many, many changes for all available platforms - but one next-gen only feature caught the eye. Covered in yesterday's Cyberpunk announcement stream, CD Projekt Red announced that the game's crowd reactions had been improved, both for pedestrians and vehicles. Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, game director on The Witcher 3 and co-director for Cyberpunk 2077 has started up a new AAA studio in Poland called Rebel Wolves. CD Projekt Red has just stealth-dropped the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 versions of Cyberpunk 2077, bringing along a host of next-gen features and bug fixes. For those who already own the Xbox One and PS4 versions, the patch weighs a hefty 50-60 GB, and for those that are still weary of the game after its launch debacle, there's a free trial you can download, and your progress carries over to the retail version. Expect ray tracing and 60fps gameplay (except on the Series S which features no ray tracing and only 30 fps), cosmetic makeovers for V's apartment, new character customization options, new weapons, improved NPC AI, and more. On today's IGN The Fix: Games, Sony's PlayStation 5 was the United States' best-selling console in January 2022, the NPD Group has announced. In the analyst group's latest data it has been revealed that the PS5 was the best-selling hardware platform in January in both units sold and dollars made. The Xbox Series X/S placed second in both categories, though the two consoles' combined front pushed overall hardware sales to the second highest January on record at $390 million, an increase of 22% from January 2021. Sony and Guerilla Games have announced that Horizon Zero Dawn has sold over 20 million copies globally across PlayStation 4 and PC. The new statistic reflects the number of copies sold on both platforms as of November 2021. Additionally, more than one billion hours have been spent playing the game. This news bodes well for the franchise as its sequel is set to release next week. Lost Ark is offering players who paid to play the free-to-play MMO early additional items if they switch to quieter servers.
