On today’s IGN The Fix: Games, Elden Ring's latest patch has fixed a handful of issues, including a glitch that allowed invaders to crash the host's game. Invaders on PC could force the host to teleport to a different area of the map, resulting in the game crashing or players being stuck in an infinite falling animation. Developer FromSoftware has fixed the issue in the new patch 1.03.2, which is available to download now on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series, and Steam. Gran Turismo 7 players are hitting back following a recent nerf to in-game rewards forcing players to grind even more to get enough credits to purchase new cars. Now, players have begun fighting back by exploiting a new way of grinding without even playing the game. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has officially been delayed to Spring 2023, confirming previous reports. On today's IGN The Fix: Games, CD Projekt Red's announcement of The Witcher 4 (for lack of an official name) has sent fans into a frenzy as they try to decipher the studio's teaser image. While it doesn't show much, the art features a Witcher medallion partly submerged in snow, which some fans believe is linked to a major character from the last game, Ciri. Someone has found one of The Witcher 3's final Easter eggs nearly seven years after it was released in May 2015. A character that players can free from a curse at the risk of her dying in seven years, can actually be found dead after waiting that long in-game. CD Projekt Red has confirmed that a new Witcher game is currently in development and that it will use Unreal Engine 5. While this new Witcher game will utilize Unreal Engine 5, CD Projekt Red did say that REDengine is "still being used for the development of the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 expansion." Gamers are getting creative with their Elden Ring characters, using the game's character creator to make the likes of Keanu Reeves, Ringo Starr, and Kratos from God of War. And speaking of Elden Ring, a PC player used an exploit to discover a garment of clothing that was apparently cut from the game. Underwear supposedly belonging to the NPC Fia has been discovered, but for reasons unknown, removed from the game's final build. It's technically still there, you'll just have to cheat a little to find it. And finally, Konami registered to renew their trademark on Silent Hill. Don't get your hopes up for a new game or even a remaster of one of the old ones, though. This probably just means they want to hold onto the rights to the franchise in case they want to make more Silent Hill-branded pachinko machines or something. On today's IGN The Fix: Games, During a special State of Play, Avalanche Software revealed more details on Hogwarts Legacy in a 20-minute livestream dedicated to showing off new gameplay and plot details. Players will live their full wizarding life as a fifth-year students at Hogwarts creating potions, dueling classmates, and exploring the world beyond the walls of Hogwarts. Sony's newly-released Gran Turismo 7 has been essentially unplayable for almost 24 hours as ongoing server maintenance continues to prevent GT7 owners from accessing the game. The problem has been reportedly pinned to an issue relating to the most recent patch. Though services are back up, players are still criticizing GT7's aggressive microtransaction with some cars costing up to $40. Eight new courses are releasing in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe today, part of the paid DLC called the Booster Course Pass that was announced during last month's Nintendo Direct. After a major patch across all platforms, which fixes a number of bugs and even adds new content, Elden Rings should expect new NPC, questlines, balanced weapons/skills, and more. Supermassive Games has revealed The Quarry, a spiritual successor to Until Dawn launching on June 10th. As with Until Dawn, the cast is made up of a number of notable actors. The Quarry is a teen horror where players control nine different characters as they try to survive the last night of summer camp, and like Until Dawn, anyone can live or die. On today's IGN The Fix: Games, A new developer diary for Starfield has revealed many details surrounding the upcoming Xbox Exclusive. Oblivion's persuasion mini-game has been updated and included in Starfield's dialogue systems. Bethesda has also revealed three main factions players will be able to join in-game. Staff is apparently leaving the company due to "a lack of creative autonomy and slow development progress." Speedrunner and YouTuber LilAggy recently completed Dark Souls using only the mighty powerful weapon of poop. On today's IGN The Fix: Games, Hogwarts Legacy, the upcoming open-world game set in the world of Harry Potter, will get a PlayStation State of Play broadcast this Thursday, March 17. The show will run for around 20 minutes, 14 minutes of which will be made up of gameplay captured on PS5. It begins at 2pm Pacific / 5pm Eastern / 9pm UK (that's March 18 at 8am AEDT). It will be shown on PlayStation's Twitch and YouTube channels. Former Nintendo of America President and COO Reggie Fils-Aimé has questioned the "current definition" of Facebook's metaverse vision, saying that "Facebook itself is not an innovative company." Rather than ship the PvP and PvE portions of the shooter together, Blizzard will decouple the package to get the Overwatch 2 PvP to players sooner rather than later. Blizzard announced that Overwatch 2 PvP will be entering closed alpha testing later today, with a beta planned for late April. Custom PC builder Artesian Builds will be shut down indefinitely after an appalling display on Twitch. On today’s IGN The Fix: Games, WB Games Montréal has finally announced a release date for Gotham Knights. The co-op DC heroes game, which features Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, and Red Hood, will release on October 25, 2022. Three investors are being investigated for insider trading in relation to Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard. The Wall Street Journal reports that Barry Diller, Alexander von Furstenberg, and David Geffen invested around $108 million in Activision Blizzard just days before Microsoft announced the acquisition. On today's IGN The Fix: Games, Elden Ring fans are debating the meaning of a few curiously locked parts of The Lands Between, with many concluding that they'll be used for PvP or Boss Rush DLC additions (although the latter seems much less likely). The fake video game featured in the Red Hot Chilli Pepper's 1999 Californication music video has been brought to life by a fan. Developed and released for free by Miquel Camps Orteza, the Californication game features seven levels pulled from the music video, each with a different game mechanics, including the racing, snowboarding, and flying on the backs of giant bugs segments from the video. Rockstar revealed that all the expected next-gen enhancements will come to GTA 5 and GTA Online, plus more. Both GTA 5 and GTA Online can be pre-purchased and pre-loaded on new-gen consoles from March 8. Physical releases will follow in April.
