The Game Informer Show is back, and we're joined by Chair Entertainment creative director Donald Mustard who talks about Infinity Blade II's innovative ClashMob multiplayer events. Host Matt Helgeson and Bryan Vore ask Mustard about the iOS blockbuster's new worldwide multiplayer events. He also drops some info about upcoming single-player updates to Infinity Blade II. Bryan returns in the second segment to discuss Activision and Radical Entertainment's surprising Prototype 2, which makes major improvements over its subpar predecessor. If you're curious about ClashMobs, why don't you register for Game Informer's very own ClashMob event? Registration is open now. Click here for details. (Please visit the site to view this media)

GI Show 107: Trivia Challenge, Apple Console, Trials Evolution | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

This week's Game Informer podcast is something a little different: our first Back Cover Blurb Trivia Challenge game show! Our resident video auteur Ben Hanson came up with idea and takes the reins from host Matt Helgeson to referee this raucous contest. Here's how it works: Ben selected a random assortment of games from the GI Vault, took pictures of the back covers with his iPhone, and then reads off the back cover blurb (censoring out any proper names or references to the title). Contestants Matt Helgeson, Kyle Hilliard, Dan Ryckert, and Tim Turi then buzz in and try to guess the name of the game. It's something different for the show, so please let us know if you like it in the comments below. The next two segments are a bit more traditional, give or take the contributions of Ben Reeves. In segment two, Andy Reiner and Ben stop by to discuss the Apple console rumors with Matt, followed by a one-on-one session with Dan Ryckert, who gives you the inside details on the XBLA hit Trials Evolution.  GI Show 106: Captivate 2012, Fez, PAX East | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

This week, the Game Informer Show weighs in on two major game media events and a groundbreaking new platformer. First up is our reaction to Capcom's Captivate 2012 press event. The venerable Japanese publisher debuted Lost Planet 3, and showed some new footage of the Devil May Cry reboot and Resident Evil 6. Host Matt Helgeson is joined by Andy Reiner and GI's Capcom nut Tim Turi. Listen in to hear a fully nude Tim break down the byzantine backstory of the RE series from memory. It's impressive! Next up, Matt Miller stops by to talk about Phil Fish's Fez. This might look like just another retro, downloadable platformer, but it's far more than that. This game's perspective-shifting puzzles are truly mindblowing, making this one of the best downloadable games to come down the line since Braid and Super Meat Boy. Finally, Dan Ryckert checks in with his impressions of the PAX East convention. PAX has become a major event, and there were a lot of high profile releases on display at the show. Dan runs down all his impression (and details some of his hijinks at the show and his terrorizing of the greater Boston metro area). (Please visit the site to view this media)
