Special Edition Podcast: Grand Theft Auto V | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

As part of our month of ongoing coverage of Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto V, we assembled a crack team of GI editors to discuss the game in a special edition podcast -- including cover story author Matt Bertz. Regular GI Show host Matt Helgeson welcomes Matt, Jeff Marchiafava, and Dan Ryckert into the booth for a lengthy and detailed discussion of what we've seen of the game so far. Jeff and Dan, who haven't seen the game in action but are longtime GTA fans, have a lot of questions and speculation about the game to add to the Matts' impressions of GTA V.  GI Show 133: Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Wii U Impressions | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

It's a big week for games, with the release of the latest Call of Duty and the Sunday launch of Nintendo's Wii U. We're here to discuss it all. First up, noted author Dan Ryckert checks in with host Matt Helgeson to discuss his reviews for Call of Duty: Black Ops II and the Vita title Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified. Treyarch's latest console CoD has some great elements -- including a branching story -- and some parts that don't work as well. We discuss the game's pluses and minuses at length. At the end of the segment, Dan dishes out a little more vitriol at Declassified a game that he is, shall we say, not a fan of. In the next segment, Matt is joined by three GI editors who have been putting in some quality time with Nintendo's Wii U. Bryan Vore, Tim Turi, and Kim Wallace have been playing some of the system's most promising games, including New Super Mario Bros. Wii U, ZombiU, and Nintendoland, and report back with impressions. They also give us a good look into the system's controller, design, and functionality. (Please visit the site to view this media)

 GI Show 132: Halo 4 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

343 Industries took up the mantle of the Halo franchise after Bungie, and the studio has done it proud. Find out what's changed, what's new, and what's still great about Halo 4 in this week's podcast. Host Matt Helgeson is joined by GI editors Matt Miller (who reviewed the game) and Kyle Hilliard for some in-depth discussion about one of the year's best games. Note: Hi all, I want to apologize for this week's podcast being late. It's also a bit shorter than usual. We had a full day of meetings in relation to an upcoming issue of GI, and there wasn't much time for anyone. Sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused you, but it was the best I could do today -- Matt. (Please visit the site to view this media)

GI Show 131: Assassin's Creed III, Disney Buys LucasFilm | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

This week we've got one of the year's biggest games -- and discussion regarding the deal the rocked the entertainment industry this week. In the next segment, Jeff Marchiafava, Adam Biessener, and Jeff Cork stop by to react to Disney's blockbuster acquisition of LucasFilm -- which includes the rights to the Star War franchise and the company's video game wing, LucasArts. What does this mean for the future of Star Wars -- and Star Wars games? (Please visit the site to view this media)

We also break down why -- patch or no patch -- Warfighter misses the mark in many important ways. In the second segment, Matt introduces you to our new crop of Game Informer interns: Odell Harmon, Jordan LaPorte, and Mike Mahardy. These guys have already been posting tons of news and opinion on the site, and in this podcast you can get to know them a little better. (Please visit the site to view this media)
