This time I'm talking to Benjamin Maze about his landscape photography journey. Ben is young self-taught photographer based in Sydney, Australia. He has a particular passion for both big and small landscapes, evoking a sense of inspiration, wonder, awe and curiosity. A diverse approach in photographing natural places and shooting well outside golden hour into harsh light, which helps him capture unique ways of seeing our world. This time I’ll be talking to Wanda Craswell about her landscape photography journey. With years of travel, hospitality, tour guiding and business experience, Von has a compassionate and patient understanding of what it feels like to be a beginner photographer. Educated with a B.A. and post-grad studies in Small Business Management and Tourism/Environment/Culture, as well as NDIS training, it is a natural progression for her to combine skills and passion into creating small-group photography workshops and tours. Born in Sydney Australia, she has lived on the spectacular Sunshine Coast in Queensland for over 20 years, after growing up in Canada, and then travelling, working and living in Alice Springs, Cairns, Darwin and the Kimberley for many years. An enthusiastic global traveller, having lived on 3 continents and travelled to 7, she shares her passion for photography, speaking about her fascinating life story, motivating others to improve their own photography (especially landscapes), and embracing the excitement of discovering new places. I'm talking to Davey Rogers about his journey and the way of life he's carving out on the beautiful Sapphire Coast. Davey hails from the Sapphire Coast in the south-eastern corner of NSW.  His work reflects his deep connection to the place he grew up in and focuses on the pristine natural beauty of the surrounding area.  Davey moved to Sydney earlier in he career in advertising, but has returned to the Sapphire Coast to pick up a full time career in photography. He talks about how his location, the weather and seasons shape his photography, discuss his commercial work as well as his passion for seascapes and a bit about some plans he has to help reinvigorate his local community after the relentless impacts of bushfires and the pandemic. This time I’ll be talking to Josh Burkinshaw about his landscape photography journey. Josh is a lifestyle and tourism photographer and videographer living on the stunning South Coast of New South Wales, Australia.  Creating captivating imagery for businesses around the globe. Since starting his journey in this creative career of photography and videography he has also specialised in capturing the awe-inspiring area he lives in and the intriguing places he’s travelled to. Josh loves experiencing new cultures and discovering the places that others call home. We discuss Josh’s career origins and how the area in which he lives inspires his work.  He describes his experiences during the devastating bushfires of the summer of 2019/20 and the initial recovery of the area until that got stalled by covid.  We also discuss an idea for a recovery activity that will have to wait until the end of lockdown, which I’m sure many Australian photographers would love to be a part of. Tyson Wladton is a self taught landscape photographer from country Victoria, living in Melbourne now. He specialises in capturing unique perspectives and landscapes of nature in  Victoria and beyond. This time I’ll be talking to Colby Brown about his landscape photography journey. Colby Brown is a photographer, photo educator and author based out of Eastern Pennsylvania. Specializing in landscape, travel workshops and humanitarian photography, his photographic portfolio spans the four corners of the globe. Throughout his work, one can see that he combines his love of the natural world with his fascination of the world’s diverse cultures. Each of his photographs tells a story of life on this planet. Colby became a photographer back in 2006, rapidly rising in the ranks of the photo industry. Not too long after picking up his first DSLR, Colby was leading photography workshops for National Geographic in South America, further spurring his love for both travel and photo education. In 2011, he founded The Giving Lens, an organization that blends photo education with support for various NGO’s and causes around the world. TGL helps fight for child education, clean drinking water projects, species preservation, women’s rights and much more.
