The Call with Nancy Sabato

This is been on my heart for such a long time, why do Pastors bring up politics, social justice or their opinions to the pulpit where God‘s word alone belongs. I understand if issues that are clearly against God are spoken about but what about giving people something to hope for?   How about giving them something they long to hear about and that’s Jesus.  In the book of Malachi- chapter 2 , Malachi is speaking to the priests about their offerings but as we read further down Malachi is warning them they are to be God’s messengers. Malachi in the verses of 7 & 8 say: “For the lips of a priest ought to preserve knowledge and from his mouth men should seek instruction because he is the messenger of the Lord Almighty. vs 8-But you have turned from the way and by your teaching have caused many to stumble you have violated the covenant with Levi says the Lord Almighty.  They didn’t know God‘s will and they were leading people astray this is serious and my prayer is that you will be given a discernment to what truly will give you hope. When leaders lead you down paths that are not Bible based, maybe more like “me” focused or what outside influencers say then it’s best for you have that listening ear to know what the Bible says about itching ears:  2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.  In the last days, people will be led astray and pastors are more accountable to God than ever as to where they lead you. James Loy lost both his parents by the age of 18 by cancer and became bitter and angry towards God, his life spiraled out of control while addicted to drugs. James tells us he lost everything was stabbed, flipped his car and was arrested in 2004. Once out of jail he tried to get help but had no  insurance or money , no one would help him except for John 3:16 Ministries which took him in. James is currently the Executive Director of Renewal Ranch in Housten, Arkansas, helping men with addiction. Touching story of how Jesus came into James life and changed everything around, giving him a new life. Khaleel Jones was lost....an out of control guy on drugs, porn,  & sexual immorality, he ran after the world and proclaimed he was an atheist and did not believe in God. Attempting suicide 4 x's he found himself in rehab, while there he had a roommate that was an evangelist and told him Bible stories every night and told  Khaleel that he would be a preacher some day. It's ----BOOTS ON THE GROUND GUY -T-- Tarvoris Uzoigwe or as people know him as T -  an evangelist working at the University of Arkansas @ Pine Bluff and making bets with students that he could beat them at basketball. T walks up to people and interviews them to find out if they know Jesus and if they don't he engages them in conversation. But he wasn't always like this, he was lost and lived in the times of gangs in Little Rock Arkansas, he tells us that he would break into peoples houses, got in trouble in school and burnt down the elementary school. But his mother prayed and they got invited to a church.  His life changed and he tells us how we can talk to people about Jesus. Casie Petersen had a breakdown and ended up in the mental ward of the hospital two days before Christmas in 2011. Diagnosed as Bipolar but it was actually PTSD stemming from a discovery she made on her husband's computer. Casie was diagnosed with Sexual Betrayal Trauma. God was not finished with Casie because He was going to give her the heart to forgive and want to stay in her marriage, there is hope and Jesus was the answer. People are divided now, how can a believer of Jesus stand firm in their faith? The World Is In Chaos- Is this anything new to God?  Man does what they want to with no regard to God or to seeking God in his own plans, this isn’t new it’s been going on since the beginning of man, starting at the fall of Adam & Eve in Genesis 1.
