Dr. Kiki Baker Barnes has distinguished herself as an outstanding professional, community servant, and mentor. She assumed the leadership role, athletic director, in Dillard’s athletic department in 2006. She simultaneously held the position of head coach of the women’s basketball team until March 2013. Her initial responsibility was to facilitate the return of the athletics program after it was shuttered following Hurricane Katrina. She has not only resurrected the program, but she has also grown the program into a national model of student-athlete success and community service. Since taking the helm, Dillard’s athletic program has seen the establishment of new sports teams and the university's first endowed athletic scholarship. A leader in sports administration, she was recently named Interim Commissioner for the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). This is not her first stint with the GCAC as she was elected and served as President of the GCAC from 2009-2018, directing its growth after several universities departed for other conferences. Dr. Barnes has become a national expert in strategic planning, organizational management, and program revitalization leading her to accept positions as a member of several organizations such as the National Administrative Council of the NAIA, the NAIA Athletic Directors Association Board of Directors, and the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation Board of Directors. She currently serves as Chair of the (NAIA) Conduct and Ethics committee and will serve as President of the NAIA Athletic Directors Association Board of Directors for the 2019-2020 year. She is President/CEO of Kiki Baker Barnes, LLC, a coaching and speaking business focused on helping others unlock their potential and founder of So You Want A Career in Athletics™  a professional leadership development program designed to expose girls ages 13-18 to career opportunities in sport. A trailblazer as well, Dr. Barnes is the only intercollegiate athletic director in the state of Louisiana and was the first female and first African-American president of the GCAC. On June 11, 2019, Dr. Barnes was awarded the industry's highest award, the Under Armour Athletic Director of the Year Award. Kisset Chirengende is the first head coach for the men’s rugby club program at Caldwell University. Prior to Caldwell, he was at William Paterson University where he served first as the assistant head coach for the men’s rugby club team from 2016-2018 and head coach from 2018-2021. He guided his team to three straight 7s Tri-State Championship and finished with the highest national ranking among the three years at sixth in 2019. Chirengende also led the William Paterson 15s team to two Tri-State Championships in 2018 and 2019. His 2018 team qualified for the national tournament and finished fifth in the national rankings.   Prior to his time at William Paterson, Chirengende was the founder and coach for the Zambezi Steelers, an invitational rugby team. He led the program to a Tropical U18 7s Elite Division Championship in Orlando in 2018 and participated in the 2019 U19 World Schools Festival in Cape Town, South Africa. Chirengende graduated from Leeds Beckett University in Leeds, United Kingdom in 2012 with a degree in Sports Business Management. While at Leeds Beckett, Chirengende was a member of the institution’s rugby team. The University of Denver named Doshia Woods (Western Illinois ’01) its 11th head women’s basketball coach in the program’s history on July 21, 2020.   Woods comes to the Mile High City after 10 seasons on the Tulane women’s basketball coaching staff. During her time at Tulane, Woods and the Green Wave produced six-straight 20+ win seasons and earned seven-straight postseason berths, including a trip to the 2015 NCAA Tournament. Woods ended her time at Tulane as the recruiting coordinator and was responsible for the perimeter players, scouting reports, recruiting, admissions, compliance and academic progress. In her time at Tulane, Woods coached six different guards to all-conference honors, including four-time all-conference selection Kolby Morgan, who became the first player in program history to reach 1,000 career points in her first two seasons. Woods coached Leslie Vorpahl, a two-time all-conference selection, to becoming just the second player in the Green Wave’s program history to surpass both 1,000 career points and 500 career assists. Woods helped land a national top 50 recruit, Louisiana’s Gatorade Player of the Year, Miss Basketball and the No. 1 recruit in Louisiana, Jerkaila Jordan, in the 2020 class.   The Topeka, Kansas native arrived at Tulane after two seasons at the University of Missouri, which came after three seasons at Oregon State. During her two stints at Power-5 programs, Woods recruited and coached seven all-conference players, including Alaska and Gatorade Player of the Year Talisa Rhea. Woods’ other assistant coaching stints include a season at New Mexico State and three-seasons at Summit League member Western Illinois, her alma mater. LeMay completed his first year at West Texas A&M after one season as the wide receiver coach at Notre Dame College. At NDC, he coached a receiving core that recorded the fourth-best reception rating in the Mountain East Conference. Senior Marvelle Ross earned First Team All-MEAC and Second Team All-Region honors after finishing third in the conference in receiving yards with 998.  Prior to NDC, He spent time at the Shrine Bowl working as the offensive coordinator for the 7th grade team. He also worked at the Jameis Winston/Hardknocks Training Camp before starting his own skills camp, Arrow Quarterback Training.  He also spent as a season as the wide receivers coach at Jacksonville State, the team went 9-4 overall and 7-1 in Ohio Valley Conference play. He coached Josh Pearson and Jamari Hester, who combined for over 2,000 yards receiving and 28 touchdowns.  LeMay has a Bachelor of Arts and a Master's degree in Sports Management from Jacksonville State. Kevin Hubbard began his second season as an assistant coach at Catholic in 2020 and his first as the team's defensive coordinator after working with the team's inside linebackers a year ago. Hubbard joined the Cardinals after spending one season as the linebackers coach at Division II Black Hills State in South Dakota in 2018. Prior to Black Hills State, Hubbard was the head football coach at New Smyrna Beach High School in Florida from 2015-17. He posted a 14-16 record over three seasons and mentored 2019 graduate and Florida State linebacker, Jaleel McRae, who was a three-year starter for the Barracudas and the fifth-ranked outside linebacker in the nation according to 247Sports. Hubbard received his master's in sports management from Jacksonville in 2011. He and his wife, Jackie, have three children: JD, Dakota and London. The Harlem Globetrotters signed Hannah in August of 2017. Mighty Mortimer is the 17th female player to join the Globetrotters in the team’s 92-year history. Her small frame, combined with her explosiveness on the court, earned her the nickname Mighty with the Trotters. Mortimer was born in Salina, Kansas, and was raised in Assaria, Kansas. throughout school, she competed in soccer, volleyball, wrestling, softball, and basketball. After graduation, she attended Kansas State University. Mortimer transferred to Brown Mackie College to play basketball in her second year of college. There she was the top scorer in Region 6 Division II. She scored in double figures in 24 of 30 games her Sophomore year (35 of 60 games total), and over 20 points in 10 games, setting the school record for most points in a game (35). She was also Top 20 in the nation with a free throw average of 81%. After graduating from Brown Mackie she went to Wichita State University. There she received a scholarship to play basketball shortly after joining the team at semester break. Hannah graduated from Wichita State University after 2 seasons with the Lady Shockers. Tasha Pointer is the Head Women's Basketball Coach at UIC. Pointer has mentored four conference Defensive Players of the Year, two Rookies of the Year, 18 all-conference selections, and over a dozen WNBA draft picks. She was instrumental in recruiting some of the nation’s top high school players, resulting in three recruiting classes that ranked third in the country and an additional top-10 group. A Parade First Team All-American and the Chicago Sun-Times Player of the Year out of Whitney Young High School in Chicago, Pointer starred at Rutgers. She led the Scarlet Knights to their first Final Four appearance in 2000 and remains the program’s all-time leader in assists, and second on the steals list. During her senior season, she led the NCAA in assists on her way to becoming an honorable mention All-American and a finalist for both the Naismith Player of the Year and Nancy Lieberman Awards. Pointer scored 1,456 points in her decorated career and accumulated four triple-doubles. She was named to the Big East 25th Anniversary Hall of Fame Team and is enshrined in the Rutgers Hall of Fame.
