Two Bs from Lil D
Summary: Have you ever started to sweat thinking about some of the weird stuff you did in middle school? Well your hosts Jo & Morg on the Two Bs from Lil D share their moments like this every week on their podcast. Take a walk down memory lane with them and it will leave you laughing and reminiscing as well. Your hosts are two best friends that grew up together in their hometown of Denton, TX. Now as adults they share hilarious stories, games and flaming hot takes with you on their weekly episodes. Their topics range from current events to weird things they did in growing up that still make them cringe today. They love participation from listeners and intake questions, opinions and submissions each week that they include at the top of their episodes in the segment they have lovingly named “B-Baggage”. Where they may not have the answers but they will have solidarity in the weird stories shared. You can find them on all major podcasting platforms, Apple, Spotify, Overcast, Stitcher, Google Podcasts and many others. Just look for “Two Bs from Lil D” and drop them some baggage of your own!
The Bs talk Halloween this week and it does not disappoint. Between an elixir from Morg's apothecary and Jo's blood and guts the Bs create some spooky cocktails just in time for Halloween. Somewhere between a zombie bus ride and a Christian haunted house Morg and Jo discuss terrible first dates, the best costumes from previous halloweens, and how candy was a form of currency in both their households. They also perfect their ghost voices which apparently have a whole back-story of their own.Follow us on instagram @twobsfromlild and send us your baggage!
This week, the Bs are taking you to one of their old favorite hangouts. It is a dingy gray place that has only gotten weirder and sadder over the years. It's the mall, y'all! The Bs relive a simpler time when shopping was so much more than just the click of a button. They would go to the mall every weekend and troll around looking at tchotchkes, try on things they weren't even remotely interested in purchasing, and dodge all the overly enthusiastic store employees. The ladies brainstorm ways to bring people back to the mall (mall wall, y'all) and determine there are two types of people in the world- those who approach mall kiosks and those who avoid them like the plague. Listen and find out which one you are...Follow us @twobsfromlild
Halftime is over, folks, and the Bs are back and more motivated than ever to keep dishing those Homecoming opinions and question some more football traditions. They imagine how those game changing speeches from coaches go and dream up mascots that are neither creepy nor cliche. Grab your sparkly pom poms and get ready to cheer your girls on. CLANK, DING, SWISH, SWISH. That's right you hear us walking down the hallway with our Homecoming Mums on!!! The Bs are discussing Texas Football and the big Homecoming Game this week. Between being on drill team though and being utterly confused as to why no one wanted to chat with with them on the hot-goss during the 3rd quarter they really do not remember much about the football game itself. And big news - there was so much to say about Homecoming you're getting a part 2 next week. Follow-us on instagram @twobsfromlild
The Bs decided that it was only fair to give Fall an episode, considering they gave Summer two. After discussing the lack of Fall in Texas, pumpkin mania, and even the word 'Autumn', the Bs realize they have some very strong feelings about Fall. In this episode, they blast to the past and relive the stress of picking a cake in the annual Fall Festival Cake Walk, debate buying a 12 ft tall skeleton after a game of 'Craigslist Price is Right', and brainstorm some Pumpkin Spice Latte alternatives (Squash Cold Brew, anyone??) So grab your Green Bean Smoothie (def sounds as tasty as pumpkin spice, right?), curl up by the fire (if you live somewhere cooler than Texas) and give it a listen!Follow us @twobsfromlild
I know you haven't heard much positivity from us on the other subjects but we loooooooved history. The Bs deep dive on all the things that made history their favorite subject - hint, it was the movies. They discuss how most of their history teachers were coaches that were really more interested in practicing their golf swing. But in all seriousness - history gave these two creatives a place to think outside the box that they both appreciated. Somehow this week insulin needles, chess and ebay are also involved. So tune in and please make sure you check our references before you site this sh*t because you know we didn't!
This week, the Bs reflect on all the math they learned growing up and quickly realize that they retained none of it (What is throughput rate?). Partially because they don't use it, but mostly because their teacher was chilling on a blow up mattress in class... The Bs explore a career in adding extra punchlines to existing math jokes and talk about things they really don't understand (someone please explain THROUGHPUT RATE!!) Warning: the probability (we remember that one, y'all) of The Bs getting every math term wrong is very high. Grab your drink and slide on down to meet these two ladies at the bottom of the bell curve for a fun episode. Follow us @twobsfromlild on instagram
Now the Bs are just showing off as they take you through their next subject during their back to school mini-series. Last week was science, well watch out because this week we show off our skills in reading and writing. Jo confesses she is still angry with Morg for getting into the advanced reading class in elementary school (Expo - that's right stands for extra potential) and we can't be sure your two favorite co-hosts will ever be the same. Jo tries to stump Morg with literary devices and ultimately they both end up as each other's antagonists. JK JK we'll be back next week with more fun! Stay in school y'all.
The Bs are back and talking about all things Science, y'all. But unlike our boy, Bill Nye, they're not performing experiments, they're realizing they ARE the experiment and have been since they were 10. Despite years and years of science class the Bs struggle to grasp what science really is and Jo reveals something crappy she did that might make Morg question why they've stayed friends. Mix yourself a drink (chemistry?), give it a listen (observation?), and help us collect data (Science??) by giving us a 5 star review!Follow us @twobsfromlild
Picture this: you're 8 years old. Ready to go to your bestie's slumber party for her Sock Hop themed bday party. Your mom packed your present - you have know idea what you got her but who cares you are 8 and you have matching pajamas on. Your sleeping bag and pillow are packed but you can't be sure to return with either because childhood birthdays are the equivalent to kid raves. The Bs discuss their favorite birthdays of all time the good the bad and the ugly of birthday presents and give you some B Baggage to start your weekend!
Well guys we didn’t realize it nor did we expect it, but we apparently have some very strong opinions about weddings. Morg, our in house wedding expert (has lost count of the number of weddings she’s been in, that’s been IN y’all, not AT), and Jo, a wedding novice in comparison, dish out all sorts of hot takes- we’re talking speeches (did anyone give you the ok to say that VERY personal detail about the bride?), we’re talking cakes (why are we sacrificing taste just so this could look like a golf ball?), and you know we’re talking about how, although we hate to share the dance floor, The Cupid Shuffle unites us all. You may now… give us a 5 star review and queue up the wedding bells cuz here come the Bs! Follow us @twobsfromlild
And just like that it's already time for school to start again! Where the heck did summer go?! The Bs reflect on what were always the most important things when going back to school- what to wear on the first day, how to decorate your locker, and which backpack to buy to fit in your locker (hint: not the ones with wheels). Middle school Morg develops a very unique style and introduces middle school Jo to the magical world of pleather about 15 years before it became a smoking hot fashion trend (SO cutting edge).Despite the current circumstances, we hope all the students, teachers, and school staffs have a great first day of school! And if you haven't already, now might be a good time to do that summer homework!!Follow us on instagram @twobsfromlild
This week Jo is abroad taking care of some administrative tasks so we’re taking this as an opportunity to talk about travel during covid. The Bs imagine what it must be like to be a travel agent and come up with the best ways to get unwilling participants to wear a mask which involves trickery, the use of a VIP section, and, dare we say it, conspiracies. Please forgive us for the sound quality this week. Since Jo is in Spain, she didn’t bring the proper equipment because she needed to save space in her suitcase for a fire escape (don’t worry about it). OR let’s just stay on theme here and say it’s because of corona, due to these uncertain times, COVID’s fault, POR CULPA DE COVID, or whatever other expression you’re now using to justify everything these days. We’re going for the gold this week! The Olympics might not be happening this summer, but The Bs aren’t going to let that stop them from enjoying what could have been! The Bs discuss strange sports that are no longer Olympic sports and are ultimately left wondering are any Olympic sports not strange?? So put down your mop and have a listen, because we’re giving out gold medals for not doing chores!! Follow us @twobsfromlild
It is summertime and we are soaking it up! Even though we’re all stuck at home, Summer 2020 is happening so we’re rolling with it, y’all! The Bs reflect on all the clever ways their parents managed to keep them entertained without ever actually entertaining them (no judgement moms, we know we were exhausting) and how, as middle schoolers, they had to learn the hard way what swimsuits are appropriate to wear at a waterpark. Morg shares with us the secret to getting the biggest bang for your buck at an amusement park. Grab that piña colada y'all and come imagine with us that you're enjoying some summer sunshine and not sitting at home in your sweats questioning when was the last time you showered!!Follow us @twobsfromlild and email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
