Two Bs from Lil D

 With the hot mess that has been 2020, the Bs were feeling a little grinchy this holiday season. BUT after laughing their way through this episode, their hearts appear to have grown in size! This week, the Bs are breaking down competitive holiday games, writing thank you cards for the worst Christmas gifts they've ever received, and trying to write the perfect holiday card that really captures the essence of 2020 (we've got some mediocre stuff, but then again it has been a mediocre year, so give us a call, Hallmark!). We hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday!!

Here we are only two weeks out from Christmas, although according to Jo's once chocolate filled advent calendar, it has been Christmas since December 1st... This week, the Bs spend some time unpacking classic Christmas jams and come to the realization that Christmas songs seem much darker than they had previously thought. Are we really just simply having a wonderful Christmas time? Sure, you gave someone your heart last Christmas, but did they even ask for it!? Did Rebecca Clause leave Santa because he bought his sugar baby a baby blue Mustang??? You're gonna wanna grab whatever chocolate is still left in your advent calendar to munch on as you listen to the Bs share some juicy [completely fictionalized] stories behind some Christmas hits. 

Who'd have known when Clare became The Bachelorette this season where it would take us. The Bs sure didn't because this week they even surprised themselves with the new line up for the replacement to Clare, Tay----- no wait, this just in, the divorcee Mrs. Clause (yes, the MRS CLAUSE). This week they take you through the first episode of the new and improved holiday edition of the Bachlorette, think of all your favorite holiday characters fighting for the love and attention of Rebecca Clause. This week, the Bs take it upon themselves to brainstorm a Thanksgiving album, because, lets face it, there just aren't any jams you can crank as you and your family sit around and avoid discussing those controversial topics. So we decided to fix that (you're very welcome!) with an album (coming to you in 2021) of tracks that will make you laugh, cry, and respect those TG side dishes a little more. Once they get all of that give thanks garbage out of the way, it's time to move into what we're all here for- BLACK FRIDAY. Morgan, an ex-Black Friday Shopper, gives us the scoop and relieves her most haunting moments that led her to vow to never go to a store on Black Friday again. The Bs also bring to you a Black Friday shopping experience from a foreigner that is truly unforgettable. Wow - you will thank us later for this one. One week later to be exact. bc the Bs are saving you from your own family drama. With avoidance techniques for hard conversations (cough cough the election) and anything else that may come your way from ole Uncle Rico who can’t seem to be politically correct. The Bs have turkey riddles and drinking games that will help you with your thanksgiving day schedule that never seems to actually have any timeline at all - “we’ll eat at what time????” We give some love to those forgotten sides and really call out those sides that no one needs (we’re looking at you green bean casserole). This week, the Bs brainstorm ways to make the time between Halloween and Thanksgiving more exciting. They put their creativity to use by coming up with ways to stretch Halloween decorations through the holidays and attempt to break world records. This week the Bs get politically nonpolitical! They discuss all of the things in life that people have apparently voted on that are of little or no importance, yet they seem to mean everything. The Bs revisit a time in their lives in which they were two young aspiring politicians. One couldn't handle the pressures of office and the other had a campaign slogan just too progressive for its time. So come spend 45 minutes discussing what really matters (fried chicken and pizza).  

The Bs talk Halloween this week and it does not disappoint. Between an elixir from Morg's apothecary and Jo's blood and guts the Bs create some spooky cocktails just in time for Halloween. Somewhere between a zombie bus ride and a Christian haunted house Morg and Jo discuss terrible first dates, the best costumes from previous halloweens, and how candy was a form of currency in both their households. This week, the Bs are taking you to one of their old favorite hangouts. It is a dingy gray place that has only gotten weirder and sadder over the years. It's the mall, y'all! The Bs relive a simpler time when shopping was so much more than just the click of a button. They would go to the mall every weekend and troll around looking at tchotchkes, try on things they weren't even remotely interested in purchasing, and dodge all the overly enthusiastic store employees. The ladies brainstorm ways to bring people back to the mall (mall wall, y'all) and determine there are two types of people in the world- those who approach mall kiosks and those who avoid them like the plague. CLANK, DING, SWISH, SWISH. That's right you hear us walking down the hallway with our Homecoming Mums on!!! The Bs are discussing Texas Football and the big Homecoming Game this week. Between being on drill team though and being utterly confused as to why no one wanted to chat with with them on the hot-goss during the 3rd quarter they really do not remember much about the football game itself. The Bs decided that it was only fair to give Fall an episode, considering they gave Summer two. After discussing the lack of Fall in Texas, pumpkin mania, and even the word 'Autumn', the Bs realize they have some very strong feelings about Fall. In this episode, they blast to the past and relive the stress of picking a cake in the annual Fall Festival Cake Walk, debate buying a 12 ft tall skeleton after a game of 'Craigslist Price is Right', and brainstorm some Pumpkin Spice Latte alternatives (Squash Cold Brew, anyone??) I know you haven't heard much positivity from us on the other subjects but we loooooooved history. The Bs deep dive on all the things that made history their favorite subject - hint, it was the movies. They discuss how most of their history teachers were coaches that were really more interested in practicing their golf swing. But in all seriousness - history gave these two creatives a place to think outside the box that they both appreciated. Somehow this week insulin needles, chess and ebay are also involved. This week, the Bs reflect on all the math they learned growing up and quickly realize that they retained none of it (What is throughput rate?). Partially because they don't use it, but mostly because their teacher was chilling on a blow up mattress in class... The Bs explore a career in adding extra punchlines to existing math jokes and talk about things they really don't understand (someone please explain THROUGHPUT RATE!!) Warning: the probability (we remember that one, y'all) of The Bs getting every math term wrong is very high. Now the Bs are just showing off as they take you through their next subject during their back to school mini-series. Last week was science, well watch out because this week we show off our skills in reading and writing. Jo confesses she is still angry with Morg for getting into the advanced reading class in elementary school (Expo - that's right stands for extra potential) and we can't be sure your two favorite co-hosts will ever be the same.
