We lost another great one last week and the best way we could celebrate him at Waves Of The Bay was through music. We met Michael Jo'Mae throughout our many years of doing shows in Tampa and St. Pete and his energy and presence were bigger than life. His talent was easy to see and seemed so naturally effortless. Any stage we've seen him on he's owned. He applied that command of the stage to his acting. He used that fearlessness to empower his weight loss. His music was the heartbeat and catalyst to it all. It was always love and encouragement when we saw the Panda and his aura will truly be missed. Episode 78 of Waves Of The Bay culminated a very long but rewarding day for us. Our very own DJ Spaceship had the honor of being the maestro for the Tampa Bay Black Heritage Festival and he did his thang! We had to discuss the magnitude of the situation, the evolution of our craft and also highlights of the event. We also spoke with Theo Lane for the Mother's Day Weekend edition of Waves Of The Bay. Theo is an amazing vocalist and writer and his music has appeared on our show many times during our run. We spent some time memorializing our fallen Hip-Hop Heroes on this episode in addition to showing love to one of our biggest fans and supporters: Herminia Gonzalez.
