Hausman's Exclusive TDJS Mix on The DJ Sessions 6/7/22   About Hausman -   Hausman (a.k.a. Devon Ausman) has certainly made a name for himself in the trance and progressive house scene since his debut EP in 2016. Taking influence from the sounds of deep, groovy house; melodic, uplifting trance; and dark, gritty techno, he aims to make music which blends genres in unexpected ways. With a keen ear for catchy melodic content and captivating harmonic progressions, he seeks to craft his compositions into musical and textural journeys that intend to captivate the listener and spark an emotional connection.    His tracks feature heavy basslines with electro-house influences, immersive atmospheres, and most importantly, beautiful chords and melodies that will catch your ear. Despite his diversity of sound and avoiding restricting himself to the constraints of any one genre, you can always tell when a Hausman track comes on.   Devon began his journey with a solo release on Intricate Records. In 2017 he released with Myon’s Ride Recordings and snatched up triple support from Above & Beyond on Group Therapy, which thrust him into the scene’s spotlight.    Since then, he’s released on labels such as Monstercat, Enhanced, and Armada, remixed tracks by Mat Zo, Dezza, Marsh, and Elevven, and garnered support from Armin van Buuren, Cosmic Gate, Tritonal, and many more. His remix of Problems for Mat Zo & Olan won 3rd place in the remix competition, and was released on Anjunabeats in 2021. Hausman quickly followed up his Anjuna debut with the hugely popular “Control”, and has plans to release more original tracks on Anjunabeats, Monstercat, and Enhanced in 2022.   As a graduate of Berklee College of Music with a degree in Electronic Production and Design, Devon has been exposed to a wealth of knowledge encompassing recording, production, engineering, sound design, and programming.    While his current digital audio workstation of choice is Ableton, he has a great deal of experience working with Pro Tools, Logic, Max, and can find his way around any DAW if needed. He’s worked on many projects in various sectors of production, including recording live instruments, audio post-production, scoring, mixing, mastering, as well as music composition and arranging within a DAW.   About The DJ Sessions -   “The DJ Sessions” is a Twitch/Mixcloud "Featured Partner” live streaming/podcast series featuring electronic music DJ’s/Producers via live mixes/interviews and streamed/distributed to a global audience. She specializes in soothing vocal lines and lush harmonies, drawing from her roots in a cappella and musical theatre. Before starting her singer-songwriter Lumynesynth project, Beth studied Contemporary Writing and Production at Berklee College of Music in Boston. She devoted her time there to studying everything and anything having to do with vocals – recording engineering, writing, arranging, teaching, direction, and anything else she could get her hands on. Following her time at Berklee, she worked as a Production Apprentice with prominent a cappella production company The Vocal Company based out of New York before branching out and discovering her love for songwriting.   Lumynesynth has had notable releases on labels such as Monstercat Silk, Colorize, and When We Dip XYZ. Nakadia on the Virtual Sessions presented by The DJ Sessions 6/6/22   About Nakadia -    Nakadia has carried her unstoppable energy since childhood.   While growing up in the poor Thai countryside of Isaan. Various jobs led to her first European trip in 2002, where she encountered techno. A turbulent journey began. She devoted herself to finding the perfect sonic fuse. Gigs on the island of Koh Samui launched her into international fame within a remarkably short time.    Crafting her sound without any guidance in a country marked by the mainstream, she pioneered the rise of the underground in her own country, conquering the rest of the world at the same time. During the Covid crisis in 2020 Nakadia used her time wisely and besides reaching millions of people with her live streams, she took time to write down her story.    Her autobiography “Positive Energy” had a huge impact within the industry as artists, industry professionals as well as fans across the globe where stunned by her unique way to global success.   In 2022 Nakadia continues to develop her self-made career with a full schedule across 5 continents.   As a promoter, Nakadia has hosted legendary names like Sven Väth and Loco Dice over a dozen times at sold-out venues across her home country of Thailand.   Nakadia has taken productions to the next level over the past two years at home during the Covid-crisis. This time enabled Nakadia to take her qualities as a producer to the next level. Tripdubb on the Mobile Sessions presented by The DJ Sessions 6/03/22   About Tripdubb -   In a dark corner of the Pacific Northwest hides the post apocalyptic ruins of a once bustling metropolis that is now home to what remains of the human race.   Where warring tribes of survivors fight for control of the worlds remaining technology and music is traded as currency. From a dark and gritty soundscape a silhouette emerges, the lone figure on a battle shaken stage.   Bass bins tower over the masses in formation. Ready to strike. Clouds of smoke rise from the crowd. The silence threatens the safety of all that is left. Alan Cross on the Virtual Sessions presented by The DJ Sessions 5/25/22   About Alan Cross -     I’ve always been a geek.  Just ask anyone I went to school with or any of the girls I tried to date.   My obsession with music began at age six when my grand­mother gave me a transistor radio—an old Lloyds—which spawned an all-consuming fascination with things that came over airwaves.  A few years later, my uncle—who moonlighted by servicing jukeboxes—kick-started my record collection by dumping a box of old 7-inch singles on me one Sunday afternoon.  I was hooked.   In October 1980, I got my start at CKUW at the University of Winnipeg, which, at the time, was a closed-circuit station.  Our broadcast range was limited to one hallway and one cafeteria.   After graduating I ended up at CJRL in Kenora, a 1,000 watt AM station that broadcast to the people and wildlife of Northwestern Ontario.  From there, it was on to KX-96/Brandon and Q94-FM/Winnipeg before I ended up at CFNY (renamed The Edge) in October 1986.  I’d first heard about the place through Rush’s “The Spirit of Radio” when I was still in high school and remember thinking to myself “Wouldn’t it be cool to work there one day?”   After fifteen years as a CFNY/Edge in a variety of announcer gigs, I moved to program director at Y95 in Hamilton, overseeing, in part, a frequency change that made the station Y108.   In 2004, I started a four-year stint as the station’s Program Director (where I was somehow named Canada’s PD of the year in 2005, 2006, and 2008), my latent geekiness once again came to the fore and I became Senior Program Director for Corus Interactive, the online arm of Corus Radio. My last project with Corus was as Head Curator of ExploreMusic, a truly unique online and on-air feature dedicated to music discovery.   Oh, and that radio show.  The Ongoing History of New Music debuted in February 1993 and since then it’s…well, it’s taken on a life of its own. There have been over 720 one-hour episodes making it (I think) the longest-running music documentary in Canada and one of the longest in North America—if not the world!   When that (temporarily) ended, I started a new show called The Secret History of Rock which ran for 100 two-hour episodes on stations across the country. (I own the rights to all those shows. I’m hanging on to those in hopes I can syndicate them globally. Anyone interested?)   After leaving The Edge/Corus in June 2011, I spent a couple of years working with various broadcasters:  Astral/Bell, Jazz-FM, Pattison, and NewCap.  Then I hooked up with Central Ontario Broadcasting, the Barrie, Ontario-based company that owns Indie 88 in Toronto.  I was part of the team that launched the station and became the voice of Indie for a year.   On August 1, 2014, I moved back to Corus as a sort of consultant/strategist–and The Ongoing History was revived as of September 1 of that year.   Then, on March 1, 2015, I co-founded the Music Technology Group and Event series with Andrew Dick and Nathalia Ribeiro. The group is for anyone who is interested in connecting with veterans in the Music and Technology industries and those who simply love music and want to learn more about how technology has shaped the way we consume, create, and monetize music. The Music Technology events take place in Toronto, every 4-5 weeks. The group is free to join and the events are free to attend.   I had a weekly national newspaper column in the Metro commuter paper (since gone bust), four published reference works on alt-rock, and four audiobooks under the banner of The Alan Cross Guide to Alternative Rock. Those books are also available chapter-by-chapter through iTunes. Just search for my name under “audiobooks.” Oh, and there’s a children’s book called The Science of Song. These days, I write a weekly column for GlobalNews.ca.    In January 2015, I co-founded Major League Mixes, a company that assists sports teams in getting their music mix right for their games. Too bad that thing folded due to circumstances beyond our control.   What else?  I was a script editor for the documentary Who the F@#k is Arthur Fogel. There was ExploreMusic-TV on Bite-TV and Aux.  The inflight audio programming I did for Air Canada for years. The consulting. Working for the now-defunct Songza (I was disgarded when it was bought by Google). The various TV appearances.  The official biographies I wrote for rock bands.  Appearances in dozens of documentaries.  The magazine articles. The narrations.  The voicework, The consulting. The speaking gigs and lecture series. The Science of Rock’n’Roll travelling museum exhibit. The traveling to music festivals and conferences around the world (not to mention other places for pleasure and sheer curiosity). Ryan Katz on the Virtual Sessions presented by The DJ Sessions 5/24/22   About Ryan Katz -    Was active from 2012-2018. Signed to Plasmapool Records. Headlined shows in the Midwest and Southeast US, and was second tier on Cluxter Festival, Farm on Fire, and Radiate Festival. Shared stage directly with Cedric Gervais, Autoerotique, Downlink, Dieselboy, San Holo, and many others. Through massive rave series in Cleveland, Ohio called Audio Arena. Five shows, thousands of attendees at laser tag arenas and trampoline parks.   Every release charted on beatport, some in Top 10 spots. Had a song go #2 at its highest.    Left DJ/Producing in 2018 to join Audience of Rain, a post-grunge band. Wasn’t necessarily my favorite style of music, but we had tremendous success with our highlight being a song thats currently at 550,000 spotify plays and well on its way to a million.   Left the band in July 2021 and started my own band, Killstreak, which is in the style of deathcore (very heavy modern metal). Superstar DJ Keoki on the Virtual Sessions presented by The DJ Sessions 5/18/22   About Superstar DJ Keoki - Keoki Franconi was born in El Salvador but moved to Kihei, Maui, when he was 8.[1] After graduating from Kailua High School he moved to the mainland to study at an airline school in California. Franconi enjoyed a brief career with several airline operations in New York, among them the now defunct Trans World Airlines, while also being a busboy at the city's trendy Danceteria club. For several years , Keoki teamed up with producer Dave Aude and wrote hit after hit under the moonshine label. After Moonshine retirement from the record industry , Keoki signed a major record deal with Cleopatra , Hypnotic records and released his ELECTRO CLASH collection.    Within this label , Keoki met Electronica mega producer Decoding Jesus; both clicked in an instant and started producing music as the dynamic duo we know today as KEOKI vs. DECODING JESUS.
