Ep 196: Popstar Music Video, Miley on Rogan, A Britney Update, New Relationships, Nobu Malibu & More. | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 5476

Emma and Julie begin today’s episode with the music video that took us all by surprise - Drake and DJ Khaled’s song ‘Popstar,’ but with Justin Bieber taking Drake’s place due to COVID travel bans. The cameos, the set, the Hailey of it all…there’s just so much to say, and it was pure genius.  They break down Miley’s interview with Joe Rogan and her comments on public divorce, the VMAs, and more. Next, an update on Britney’s conservatorship and her boyfriend’s IG comments. There was tons of relationship speculation: Jay Cutler/Tomi Lahren, Kaia Gerber/Jacob Elordi, Halsey/Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson/G-Eazy ‘swap,’ Rumer Willis/Armie Hammer, and Minka Kelly/Trevor Noah. They also touch on Finneas’ song inspired by Nick Cordero and Amanda Kloots.  In the award ceremony, Demi Lovato takes home the gold for “funniest comment” of the week.  Kardashian recap dives into Sofia Richie and Jaden Smith spotted at the beach, and Kendall and Devin Booker’s trip with the Bieber’s.  Highlighted Black-Owned Business:  Our BOM (Black Owned Market) Ourbom.com  https://www.instagram.com/OurBomDotCom/  Text VOTE to 26797 Zach Banner's B3 Foundation: http://b3foundation.org/ Support Jacob Blake’s Family:  https://gf.me/u/ytqziu Justice for Elijah McClain: https://www.change.org/p/adams-county-district-attorney-justice-for-elijah-mcclain-2 Justice for Breonna Taylor: https://www.standwithbre.com http://www.mentalhealth.gov/  The Loveland Foundation: https://thelovelandfoundation.org To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices.  Comments By Bravo: RHOBH Reunion Part 1, RHONY Finale & RHOP S5 E5 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 4397

Emma and Isabel are SO so excited to finally bring you Bravo-only episode breakdowns. They are going deep on what's going on this week in the world of Bravo - from analyzing the episodes, all of the off-screen social media drama, things you may not have noticed, and more. Note: these are not recaps, more so discussion/analysis. They start fresh off the New York finale, where they get into Dorinda's unwarranted hate towards Tinsley, Luann's cabaret career, the future of the franchise, some surprise cameos, Sonja's Drag Queen bingo event, and Ramona's date to the party. Next is the beginning of the jaw-dropping, groundbreaking, super glamorous Beverly Hills reunion filmed via 'Zoom.' This is only part 1 of 3, but there is already SO much to unpack. They discuss Garcelle's freshman season as a housewife, her and Kyle's ongoing issues, Sutton's role in the group and plotlines this season, Denise and the threesome conversation that never ended, Erika speaking her mind, and what's to come with Brandi and Denise on the next two parts. Finally, they touch on this week's episode of Potomac, which centers around the ladies taking a trip to Monique's fabulous lake house (with T'Challa in tow, of course.) They analyze why Wendy and Ashley get off on the wrong foot, Ashley and Michael's relationship, Monique's hosting skills, Karen's blunt commentary on Gizelle, and why Potomac is like no other Housewives show. We had the best time and hope you guys enjoy!!!!!! Thank you for letting us do this.  Ep 195: Kardashian Bonus Show: Season 2, Episode 7 Recap | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3709

The moment we've all been waiting for has finally arrived - Kim, Kourtney, and Khloé's famous fight over Kim's custom Bentley. This episode is where the phrase 'don't be f*cking rude!' was invented and it is reality TV gold (or as Emma likes to say, 'cinematic genius.') The episode centers around Kim picking up her brand new car, but having a meltdown when her sisters seemingly ruin the big moment for her. They really get into it after Kim hits Khloé with her bag, says she hates them, and storms off crying. Rob tries to help diffuse the situation and bring them all back together.  Kris enjoys a fun night out with her girlfriend Ellen and after a few too many vodkas, they end up at the infamous Shamrock Tattoo parlor. Her intention is just to support Ellen as she gets her tattoo, but of course, she finds herself in the chair getting Kendall and Kylie's names on her lower back.  Ep 194: The VMAS, Brad Pitt, Bella Thorne OnlyFans, Rihanna x A$AP + A Kardashian Recap & Bravo Debrief | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 7799

Emma and Julie begin today's episode with a tribute to actor Chadwick Boseman, who tragically passed away this week at the age of 43 after a silent battle with colon cancer. They discussed his unparalleled contribution to our world, and the generosity of kindness and spirit that he showed to so many. Next, they get into a recap of the 2020 Video Music Awards which were done virtually - some fashion, some performances, and some winners. They also break down Bella Thorne's scandal on OnlyFans, give an update on Britney Spears' situation with Jamie Lynn as her trustee, deep dive A$AP Rocky and Rihanna's interviews, and more. In the Kardashian recap, they get into Scott's comment on Khloé's Instagram seemingly confirming a Tristan rekindling, Kylie's trip to Paris with Fai, Kim and Allison's podcast appearance, and more.  Isabel and Emma announce the beginning of their Bravo breakdown episode, go through the details of Dorinda Medley leaving RHONY, and debrief this week's episodes of New York and Beverly Hills.  Highlighted Black-Owned Business Shea Moisture http://www.sheamoisture.com https://www.instagram.com/sheamoisture  Text CBC to tel:26797 Zach Banner's B3 Foundation: http://b3foundation.org/ Support Jacob Blake’s Family:  https://gf.me/u/ytqziu Justice for Elijah McClain: https://www.change.org/p/adams-county-district-attorney-justice-for-elijah-mcclain-2 Justice for Breonna Taylor: https://www.standwithbre.com http://www.mentalhealth.gov/ https://www.nami.org/help The Loveland Foundation: https://thelovelandfoundation.org To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices.  Ep 193: Kardashian Bonus Show: Season 2, Episodes 5 & 6 Recap | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3083

In order to ensure they can make it through the most noteworthy episodes of Season 2 (including Kim's Bentley breakdown and the family's trip to Colorado) before Season 18 returns on Sept 17th, Emma and Julie are breaking down both episodes 5 and 6. They first do a brief run through of episode 5, which centers around Kim and Kourtney's desire to find Khloé a boyfriend. They set up an online dating profile behind her back, and organize a series of blind dates to spy on. Caitlyn and Kris attempt to teach Kendall the value of a dollar by assigning her chores, which leads to her hiring a local dog walker to complete them for her. Episode 6 is a GOOD one. Rob looks to Kim for business advice, as she helps him pursue a career in modeling while he finishes college at USC. The girls worry about their safety after Dash has a break-in, so in true early 2000s reality TV style, they take a self defense class and make a trip to a gun range to practice their shooting skills. Scott's dynamic with Rob is on display (plus a little PDA between him and Kourtney) and we couldn't ask for anything better Get ready for the cinematic genius that is next week’s episode.  Ep 192: Britney, Megan Thee Stallion, Paris Hilton, College Admissions Scandal, Brad & Angie, Mrs. Dobrik, + A Bravo Debrief and Kardashian Recap | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 7065

Emma and Julie begin by giving an update on Britney Spears’ conservatorship as it enters into a new phase, and the public's understanding and advocacy for her freedom. Next, Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli have been sentenced to jail time in the final decision of the college admissions scandal. They get into the alleged custody battle between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, some background on their relationship, and - of course - the Jen Aniston of it all. They discuss the previews of Paris Hilton's upcoming documentary 'This Is Paris,' and David Dobrik's recent comments on his dating life.  Bravo Debrief 1:08:00 Isabel joins to break down this week's episodes of RHONY and RHOBH. Next is Beverly Hills, where Teddi's baby shower in the Capri room at Buca de Beppo turns into a drama-filled event. They get into Brandi and Denise, the group's involvement in the events, and the mentions of LVP.  Emma and Isabel also announce that a separate Bravo recap episode is hopefully coming soon so that they can record at a time that does not conflict with RHOP. That franchise is just too good to miss.  In the awards ceremony, Lady Gaga takes home the gold for “funniest comment” of the week. Kardashian Recap 1:42:00  In this week’s Kardashian recap, Scott and Sofia are officially over ahead of her 22nd birthday celebration trip, Kourtney and Addison are at the Palm Springs house, and we got the first look at this season of KUWTK - which documents Scott's rehab journey and the staff member who disgustingly leaked it.  Ep 191: Kardashian Bonus Show: Season 2, Episode 4 Recap | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3223

Emma and Julie are so excited because the first preview for the new season of KUWTK (premiering September 17th) debuted this week, and it seems like we're in for an epic season. (As well as a look into the Kardashian/Jenner life in quarantine when the pandemic hits mid-filming.) Three more episodes until Season 18 returns.  In this week's throwback episode (after a hilarious opening of the family searching for their mom's vibrator,) Kris is given the opportunity to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a cheerleader. It takes a lot of hard work, a private session with an A-list choreographer, and even causes an unexpected injury. But, Caitlyn and the rest of the family are supportive of Kris' dream and help her through the process.  Kendall is beginning to enter her teenage years, and the rest of the family is noticing her shifting attitude. Kourtney and Khloé talk to her about how she's acting and give her a lesson (assisted by Kylie) on puberty, growing up, and even play her home videos from their births. It's an adorable sisterly moment and really makes you realize how far we've come. Then, they celebrate the news that Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are expecting their third child together (as announced in John's music video,) plus Morgan Stewart and Jordan McGraw expecting a baby girl, and Sophie Turner calling Joe Jonas her 'baby daddy.' In some happy news, Beyoncé made a personal phone call to a woman and her niece, who were so moved by the Black Is King visual album. They also get into some relationship news: Jessica & Justin's infidelity clause, Camila & Shawn breaking up, and Kaia & Cara's matching tattoos. Next, they address the terrible allegations brought on against Drake Bell that stemmed from a TikTok.  Bravo Recap 01:07:30 Isabel joins for a Bravo debrief where they break down Rihanna wanting to visit Dorinda in the Berkshires, Miley loving RHOBH, and of course this week's episodes of NY and Beverly Hills. Plus, a little Potomac and Below Deck Med.  In the awards ceremony, Rihanna and Jimmy Kimmel Live take home the gold for "funniest comment" and "best clapback" of the week.  Kardashian Recap 01:44:30  This week in Kardashian includes Kylie's 23rd birthday trip to Turks & Caicos, Tristan and Khloé's current relationship status, and Scott and Kourtney's funny antics on IG together.  Highlighted Black-Owned Business: The Raspberry Room @RaspberryRoomPillows www.theraspberryroom.com Text CBC to 26797 Zach Banner's B3 Foundation: http://b3foundation.org/ Justice for Elijah McClain: https://www.change.org/p/adams-county-district-attorney-justice-for-elijah-mcclain-2 Justice for Breonna Taylor: https://www.standwithbre.com http://www.mentalhealth.gov/ https://www.nami.org/help The Loveland Foundation: https://thelovelandfoundation.org To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices.  Ep 189: Kardashian Bonus Show: Season 2, Episode 3 Recap | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3681

In the spirit of transparency, Emma and Julie start out by letting their audience know that this particular episode of Keeping Up was definitely not one of the best. But hey - after 17 seasons, not every one is going to be a 10/10. They made the best of it - looping in some anecdotes, quotes & interesting tangential thoughts along the way.  The episode centers around two main plot lines: Kris bringing in a professional stylist to redo Caitlyn’s wardrobe, and Khloé’s desire to enter the spotlight. As they note early on, there are moments that are definitely uncomfortable as a viewer - the way Caitlyn handles Eric, the celebrity stylist, is undeniably homophobic. Because the topic of clothing is so prevalent, Emma and Julie cite some of Caitlyn’s quotes from recent interviews, regarding how early on she was so drawn to female clothing, and the strength it takes to live your most authentic self.  Kim’s work ethic is also on display, as well as her mutual support of Khloé‘s desire to be more integrated into Kim’s professional world. Khloé takes an acting class and it is entertaining, to say the least.  To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices.  Ep 188: WAP, An Ellen Breakdown, Laguna Beach, Common & Tiffany, Megan Fox + A Bravo Debrief, Selling Sunset & Kardashian Recap | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 7332

In today's episode, Emma and Julie begin with the allegations brought upon Ellen Degeneres - the work culture at her talk show, former employees speaking out, and - in a confusing and seemingly tone-deaf move - various A-listers coming to her defense.  Next, they get into the pictures of Jennifer Garner (allegedly) and Bradley Cooper spending some time together in Malibu, and if they could possibly be an item. They then discuss Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's record-breaking music video for WAP - the cameos, the reactions, Cardi's tweets, and what it means for women's empowerment. They break down Megan Fox's post with boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly, and her ex-husband Brian Austin Green's shady nod at the post. High school sweethearts Kristin Cavalleri and Stephen Colleti reunited and shared it on Instagram...there's not much to say, but we're just so excited. Tiffany Haddish confirmed that she and Common are in fact dating (!!!) and the two had such sweet things to say about each other. In our award ceremony, Lil Yachty and Billy Eichner take home the gold for "funniest comment" and “best clapback” of the week. Bravo Debrief: 58:06 Isabel joins to break down everything Bravo - this week's RHOBH / RHONY / RHOP episodes, Rihanna joining Karen Huger's Instagram Live, and more. They also get into Season 3 of Selling Sunset, and the emerging details of Justin Hartley filing for divorce from Chrishell via text. Kardashian Recap: 1:47:20 Emma and Julie go through everything going on with the Kardashian/Jenner crew - including Reign's new look, Addison's "Day in the Life" video, Kanye's tweets, Jordyn Woods living her best life, a conversation on the state of her and Kylie’s friendship, and more.  Highlighted Black-Owned Business: UNWRP, http://www.UNWRP.com, http://instagram.com/unwrp  Text CBC to tel:26797 Zach Banner's B3 Foundation: http://b3foundation.org/ Justice for Elijah McClain: https://www.change.org/p/adams-county-district-attorney-justice-for-elijah-mcclain-2 Justice for Breonna Taylor: https://www.standwithbre.com http://www.mentalhealth.gov/ https://www.nami.org/help The Loveland Foundation: https://thelovelandfoundation.org To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices.  Ep 187: Kardashian Bonus Show: Season 2, Episode 2 Recap | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3730

Emma and Julie continue their throwback recaps with the second episode of Season 2. This episode revolves around Rob’s new relationship with Adrienne Bailon and Kris’ journey to having a healthier home.  The episode begins with the family wondering why they are seeing less and less of Rob. We learn that he is in a new relationship with actress Adrienne Bailon, and they are getting serious fast. Rob breaks the news to Kourtney, Kim, and Khloé, and even debuts a big tattoo of her name on his ribs. The girls set up a secret coffee date, where they get to know Adrienne and warn her about breaking their brother’s heart. While meeting some of the family (in a Juicy Couture tracksuit and Uggs, no less,) Adrienne drops the bomb that she has to go to India to film her new movie, and they will have to navigate their relationship long distance. Rob is heartbroken, but luckily they set their BlackBerrys up with international service, and his sisters surprise him with plane tickets to go visit.  Kris hires a nutritionist to go through the family’s refrigerator and help give them some healthy food tips. When she suggests getting a chicken coop for fresh eggs, Kris immediately jumps on the idea. They take a trip to a local farm and bring home their new pets which, as expected, does not go well.  Ep 185: Kardashian Bonus Show: Season 2, Episode 1 Recap | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3738

Emma & Julie are back to recap another throwback episode of KUWTK, this week with the Season 2 premiere. The season kicks off with the focus on two main plot lines: Kim’s growing fame, and Kourtney & Scott’s relationship.  The family becomes increasingly frustrated with Kim, as her mounting fame also comes with a mounting diva-like attitude. After Kim finds texts from another girl on Scott’s old phone, all hell breaks loose. Khloé & Kim take Kourtney on a girls trip to Cabo to get her mind off Scott’s antics. After much convincing, Kourtney meets with Scott to discuss his actions, and then brings along Kim and Khloé for back up.  The episode concludes with Kim apologizing for her recent behavior, and we’re left with a Kourtney and Scott reunion that elicits a lot of nostalgia.  This Week’s Black-Owned Business: Eternally in Amber  https://www.eternallyinambershop.com/ To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices.  Ep 183: Kardashian Bonus Show: The Past 72 Hours on Twitter | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3715

Instead of recapping Season 2 Episode 1 as planned, Emma and Julie felt it was important to address what has been going on in the Kardashian-West family over the past 72 hours. They began by framing the episode by reminding the audience that - while widely publicized and unique in nature - we are still talking about real people, with real feelings. They express their strong intent to not contribute to the salacious narrative that the media has been pushing, and focus a large portion of the conversation on mental health.  Then, they get into the nitty gritty, catching everyone up to speed by summarizing all of Kanye’s tweets and Kim’s IG stories. After, they first engage in a discussion on the importance of de-stigmatizing mental health, and how crucial it is that people not blame Kim for this occurrence. They discuss some of the opinions that are being shared on social media, by both people with the same diagnosis, as well as members of the Black community.  Then, they analyze the celebrity aspect of all of this, as very famous names have been thrown into the mix. They discuss how Meek Mill, Larsa Pippen, and Drake all play into this, giving some background information to help contextualize some of the confusion. If you take one thing from this episode, please approach the situation with compassion and kindness.  Resources below:  http://www.mentalhealth.gov/ https://www.nami.org/help National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, tel:1-800-273-TALK (8255)  SAMHSA Treatment Referral Helpline, tel:1-877-SAMHSA7 (tel:1-877-726-4727) The Loveland Foundation: https://thelovelandfoundation.org To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices.
