The Pipeman first interview 2022 is the band Dusk. Dusk is from Saudi Arabia but located in Dubai. The metal scene in Saudi always have been underground. Its new in the popular scene. He is from the Capital of Saudi. He plays guitar and produces modern metal music. Passion for metal music was always there. Tried to start playing the guitar at 6 years old. Went on and off from it until he went to college in Dubai. When he started to get serious into music was becoming a DJ. In 2016/2017 He was shuffling metal and Rock music and came across a band that sparked him in to pick back up the guitar. Duck is self-taught guitarist and producer. He watched YouTube videos and played with songs by ear to learn guitar. Dusk plays guitar daily from when he wakes up until he goes to sleep. Released new song called To Where I belong. On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Paul Crosby, who’s going to be at Rockville next week. Paul talks about his new music and how his two sons Sean and Zach have unique voices and sing lead on some of the songs. Paul says it’s very cool having a band with his sons, and talks about how they engineered the song from start to finish by themselves. He also says from the time they were really little you could tell they were going to be musicians, as he reminisces on some of his early memories of his kids musical talents. Paul explains how everyone being into different types of music is helping teach each other and think outside of their normal boxes. Pipeman and Seth talk about how people don’t want to come to a show to just listen to music, they want to get to know the band, before Pipeman moves on to praise their take on the three songs, particularly the Journey songs, and asks why he picked those songs. Seth explains they’re three songs which give them so much inspiration. Seth also discusses the how it can be more difficult to do a cover as it can be difficult to take the main elements of a song, but also put your own spin on it. Pipeman tells an awesome story about Jack Black trying to get him to sing, to which Seth replies with an awesome story of his own playing the riff for TNT. Seth reveals they have several songs they’re working on right now and that can be put down to the pandemic with all the time off. Pipeman and Joey then move on to discuss Joey’s Journey Tribute band, his cover band and his love for music of many different genres, which they feel helps a musician grow and progress, as Pipeman says he thinks bands are going back to a more progressive style. Pipeman and Joey also discuss concerts and how they’re cautious about how they’ll work and how Anthrax have purposely not made themselves too busy.
