PipemanRadio Interviews Savage Grace | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1316

PipemanRadio talks with Christian of Savage Grace about their new album and what a masterpiece itr is. We discussed how the musicianship and talent has gotten better. The album has the foundation of 80's Savage Grace with a modern musicianship to it. They also discuss the old days and how Pipeman became a casualty of the LA Metal Scene. On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Chris from Savage Grace. After many years, they have reconnected, and Pipeman is excited to hear about Savage Grace's new album, which he thinks is the best they have ever produced. Chris is glad Pipeman appreciates their new music, as they have put a lot of effort into creating it. Chris mentions that despite people saying that Savage Grace's next record will not be as good as their previous albums, the band's music just keeps getting better, and this new album is no exception. Pipeman commends the incredible vocals in their music, which he says give him chills. Chris explains that the goal of the new album is to recreate the feeling of 1978 when bands played arena shows all over the US, such as REO Speedwagon, Ted Nugent, and Molly Hatchet. Chris wanted to create that ambiance and feeling in the new album. He also wanted to incorporate threads of the old Savage Grace music in the instrumentals, such as Saxon, Motorhead, and Priest, to bring people back to the late seventies and early eighties. Chris mentions that they have updated the themes lyrically to be more relevant to today's society, as the world has changed since their previous albums. Pipeman agrees that the new album is a modernized version of Savage Grace's old music, with many relevant themes for 2023. He notes that while many bands nowadays still rely on their old music, Savage Grace has managed to modernize their sound while still retaining their originality. Chris agrees that they have updated their music without losing their musical identity. Be sure to check out the new album as soon as it comes out very soon, with the video for Stealing My Heart coming out on May 5th, which is going to blow you away so be sure not to miss that one.  PipemanRadio Interviews The Bloody Hell 2023 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 753

PipemanRadio Interviews The Bloody HellOut Now! Canadian Punks THE BLOODY HELL Punch Out New Album "Nobody Cares"Formed in 2017, The Bloody Hell has gotten dirtier and more polished at the same time, with the band infecting fans with their pop-cultural hooks and concepts, while the guitars keep getting louder and the vocals becoming uglier. The Bloody Hell is pretty much what would happen if George Thorogood sang for the Misfits, but all the songs were written by Tom Petty.Super catchy horror rock songs about drinking and heartache are played at punk rock speed with a lineup that features vocalist/guitarist Ian Kean (guitar, vocals), guitarist and pianist James Densley also known from Bubbles and The Shit Rockers, the band fronted by the character Bubbles from the hit TV show The Trailer Park Boys, drummer Kyle Cantfell (Elektric Mistress), and bassist Joe Woods (Root Cellar).Fast forward now to 2022, and these Canadian punk rockers from Halifax, Nova Scotia return in 2022 to finally release their long-awaited follow-up to their 2018 debut self-titled album. Entitled "Nobody Cares", the sophomore full-length is out now as of November 10th. Over the last two years during the Covid pandemic, the band shared two singles and music videos, "Nobody Cares About America Anymore" and "When You're Gone" off the record to a great reception from fans."The album took about 3 years to complete due to Covid restrictions, lockdown, and all the madness that was the pandemic. With this album, we feel our sound has evolved nicely from the previous record released in 2018. We have worked hard to shape our songwriting and storytelling abilities and that is thoroughly displayed over the nine tracks on this album. We are hoping that fans who loved our first album will be super excited to hear this one to see how our songwriting has progressed. And we hope that people hearing us for the first time will find something in our sound to relate to or sing along with." adds vocalist/guitarist Ian Kean."Nobody Cares" features The Bloody Hell's signature sound of raspy aggressive, catchy horror, and politically charged antics over nine tracks that clock in at just over 28 minutes. From tracks like "Hide Away" with its fast punky driving riff and slick earworm guitar lead to "Barbra" a cover of an old Canadian punk song by Vancouver legends Modernettes to even having saxophone on "G" along with added piano on "As Above" and "So Below", punk fans will find it to be an energetic and passionate sonic experience that conveys stories from lived experiences that many can relate to."It's a true story and we mean every word, hook, and note on it. We give an emotional rollercoaster for your eyes and mind with twists and turns, ups and downs. Just as life is. All the lyrics come from personal experiences whether it be a relationship failure or success, a wild story of substance abuse, or just an observation about world events. I write what I know and try to be truthful in my lyrics." says Kean. With a big emphasis on storytelling, so are the two music videos they released to support the album, which can be viewed below. When You're Gone - https://youtu.be/FjE2iDebguYNobody Cares About America Anymore - https://youtu.be/4QVIfLQY2YsSuitable for a variety of fans, The Bloody Hell cites influences ranging from Misfits, Nirvana, and Motorhead, anyone who enjoys a fun and dirty romp with a bull horn of grungy vocals.Their new album "Nobody Cares" is available on all digital platforms and cassette as of November 10th, 2022 at https://linktr.ee/thebloodyhellhfx.Track Listing:1.  PipemanRadio Interviews Nothing Sacred 2023 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 706

PipemanRadio Interviews Nothing SacredOut now! Australia's Nothing Sacred unleash their new EP "Leviathan" via Rockshots Records to follow their first album in 30 years entitled "No Gods" released in 2021. "The 2021 album “No Gods” was well received so we were keen to get back into the studio and follow up as quickly as possible. The new release is another mix of new tracks and older tracks that builds on what we did with “No Gods”. We think it takes things a step forward - Sacred fans will find plenty to enjoy." adds the band.Fans of Nothing Sacred will notice on the band's forthcoming EP "Leviathan" that there has been a lineup change that now sees the return of Chris Stark taking the reins as lead vocalist, replacing James Davies. Stark had previously sung with the band for a number of years and has now returned in time to lay down the vocal tracks for their next monster. The EP "Leviathan" has plenty of riffs, killer solos, and big melodies from vocalist Chris Stark. The EP also includes the song “Sudden Death”, a thrashy unreleased track that was a mainstay during the band's live gigs in the mid-'80s plus re-recordings of a few tracks from the band's first album “Let Us Prey” and two new songs. All the new songs were written in group sessions with everyone jamming, throwing around riffs and arrangements into the mix. Overall, the EP is a blend of old and new, and something they could get done without a follow-up taking too long.Album order - https://bit.ly/LeviathanCDDigital - https://bfan.link/LeviathanMusic Video - "Leviathan" - https://youtu.be/zgLYldc8b60Music Video - "Drone" - https://youtu.be/PaJunwK4828Track Listing:1. During the 80s, the heavy metal band unleashed their EP “Deathwish”, which catapulted them as one of the most sought-after pit makers with the record’s title track becoming a classic within the Australian metal scene. Three years later in 1988, Nothing Sacred unleashed the full-length entitled “Let Us Prey” on Cleopatra Records. Unfortunately a year after that LP’s release, the band disbanded in 1989. Lead guitarist Mark Woolley, bassist Karl Lean, and drummer Sham went on to contribute to Hobbs’ Angel of Death‘s early work in the late 1980s. Woolley also appeared on Hobbs’ first self-titled album in 1988. Vocalist Mick Burnham later joined the short-lived Melbourne band Seizure in 1993.Although their tenure was short-lived, Nothing Sacred still remains an underground metal phenomenon in Australia. Songs from the Deathwish EP still get airplay on several Australian metal radio programs. In 2012, Nothing Sacred performed a series of 30th anniversary shows with Ross Percy (Ion Drive, Little House Godz) joining George Larin on guitar that included a support slot for the ex-Iron Maiden vocalist's Paul Di’AnnoP/Blaze Bayley Australian tour. Despite the success, the band agreed not to continue and returned to retirement. In 2015, the band decided to re-activate with a lineup of Sham, Karl Lean, George Larin, Ross Percy, and new vocalist Chris Stark. A slot on Melbourne’s Brewtality Metal Festival received positive reviews before the band embarked on a short tour of Japan (That footage was released in 2021 as a part of a 3 disc boxset), which inspired them to continue and lead the band to headline day one of the Steel Assassins Festival in Sydney.Line-up changes again slowed the band, James Davies...

PipemanRadio Interviews Julia PoormanStream "Runaway Ship":https://songwhip.com/juliapoormanSinger/songwriter Julia Poorman released her newest single "Runaway Ship" to all major platforms. The lyrics and music were written by Julia Poorman with music and production by Danny Roselle. The single was produced, engineered and mixed by Danny Roselle at Rosedome Studios. It was mastered by Michael Fossenkemper."Runaway Ship embodies both the excitement and unstoppable feeling of new romance while also acknowledging the beauty in a love that is chosen over and over again despite the hardships it may face," says Julia.Writing songs has always been second nature to Julia. As a young girl living in New York's Finger Lakes Region, her little poems could be found stuffed in her night stand expectantly waiting for melodies to bring them to life. As soon as she'd pick up the paper, the music would come flowing out and a song would be born.Throughout her youth, music served as a reliable and cathartic outlet for Julia. To her, it's an entire dimension filled with comradery, boundless expression, and healing. As a young adult, Julia took a brief step back from her musical endeavors to help build a business and life with her fiance. Navigating the world as an entrepreneur brought many rewarding opportunities for growth and unforgettable experiences, but she was left feeling a void in her creative nature. In 2021, Julia unexpectedly lost her father. One of the last text messages he sent her was a photo of him listening to her original self-titled EP from 2012. She knew she needed to get back to her roots to begin to heal. Music became a necessary therapy again, and the melodies and lyrics just didn't stop.Julia now feels the importance of creating music that puts people in their own flow state, a vibrational catalyst for self-exploration and healing. Her passion reclaimed, she feels as though this is just the beginning.Julia released her single "Already Got It" in 2022.WATCH Julia Poorman - Already Got It - Official Video:https://youtu.be/GLUL76fSOEsLead & Backing Vocals- Julia Poorman Guitars, Bass, Piano- Danny Roselle Drums- Chris O'Hara https://juliapoorman.com/Pipeman's Power of Music is a music and interview segment of The Adventures of Pipeman Radio Show (#pipemanradio) and from The King of All Festivals while on The Pipeman Radio Tour.  PipemanRadio Interviews Crazy Tomes | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 602

PipemanRadio Interviews Crazy TomesCrazy Tomes: A Truly Crazy Story in MusicCrazy Tomes: “Crazy on the Island” Album ReleaseGenre-shattering and boundary-breaking artist Crazy Tomes has revolutionized the Rock and Blues scene in a very unexpected way since his start in music. Crazy Tomes just released his first album since 2015 on January 6th, 2023 and it promises to blow audiences away as Tomes has been known to do since the beginning. The album, “Crazy on the Island” will include the track “King of Pot” featuring 1960's music icons The Chambers Brothers and legendary Soul singer and producer Jerry "Swamp Dogg" Williams, who also co-produced the track. "King of Pot" also has some of the last recorded guitar work by Blues legend and Jimi Hendrix's mentor, the late Guitar Shorty. This track has been a work in progress for Tomes for many years, as he wrote it about a friend who was a Vietnam veteran who was discharged for smoking pot. It speaks to the world’s need to focus on enjoying life rather than arresting people for victimless "crimes.” Both "King of Pot" and the upcoming album “Crazy on the Island” have musical contributions from Remi Kabaka (Rolling Stones, Paul Simon), as well as members of Ambrosia, Three Dogs Night and Cameo. Listen to the album “Crazy on the Island” https://open.spotify.com/album/6jlnh5RvyrtzOVzcH2eNFO Listen to the featured track “King of Pot” https://youtu.be/zTyZ4E0nEz8 Growing up in Israel, Tomes began his musical journey in classical piano, but became inspired by American Rock N’ Roll legends like Elvis Presley, David Bowie and The Beatles. From there, he decided to switch his focus to the guitar and soon picked up jazz when he moved to Virginia in 1998. His unexpected journey continued when legendary American musician - and Tomes’s idol - Little Richard invited Tomes on stage to perform a song with him, where he was given his iconic name. This event validated Tomes’s path in jazz guitar, and thus he went on to study it at The College of William and Mary. Tomes’s career exploded from there, headlining the “Kenya Feel the Rock '' festival with Blues-Rock band Burning Wagon, as well as performing at the Bruce Hornsby festival before moving to Los Angeles. There, he joined the Pop-Rock band “Arrest My Sister” and performed at Carnegie Hall, and shortly after joined the band Gundriver - and soon after was hired as a bass player (and later guitar) for another Blues icon, Guitar Shorty. His story doesn’t stop there - Tomes soon began playing guitar for Willie Chambers, and eventually for The Chambers Brothers, and now is lead guitar for R&B and Soul artist Swampp Dog, performing with him every New Year’s Eve at the Roxy Theater since 2017, as well as at the Ryman Auditorium with Bon Iver.According to Tomes, his style is best described as a unique combination of “Blues, Funk, Rock, Pop, Jazz, RnB, Reggae and Country,” and to some, it is described as “a bluesy Rock’n’Roll with a touch of insanity.” Fans praise him for his “energetic live shows, virtuoso guitar playing, distinctive soulful vocals, and musical versatility.” Drawing inspiration from a large list of names such as The Beatles, Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Eric Clapton, The Doors, Elton John, The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, Bob Dylan, The Animals, Rod Stewart, P-Funk, The Who, Bob Marley, Sublime, Led Zeppelin, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Lou Reed, Nirvana, The Zombies, Howlin' Wolf, Louis Armstrong, just to name a few - it only makes sense that Tomes’s music is a thing entirely his own. A sound that truly cannot be placed into one genre, Tomes’s discography explores nearly every musical style known to man, without exaggeration.  PipemanRadio Interviews The Offering | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2166

On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to The Offering who have some awesome new music with a really great message they want to share with us on the show today. Pipeman starts by talking about how he has been saying for a long time that the hippies have turned into the boomers. The guys talk about the origins of the songs and dealing with their parents who are boomers themselves. They also discuss what happened to the punks and when did they turn pro government? Pipeman tells a story of how his ex was struggling to take a video on her phone and his reply was you’re such a boomer. Pipeman goes on to talk about his kids who are so different, with two of them born in the 80’s and two of them born in the 90’s. He says the two sets of kids are so different, with the older ones being like Pipeman, but the younger ones not being able to relate to them at all. He also discusses how he realized the difference between millennials and Gen X in a work place environment and how Gen X is motivated by making a difference rather than making a buck. A little later on, Pipeman brings it back to the guys music and how this new album is an evolution of their music. He compares it to Hatfield of Metallica and how he hated his voice when he listened back to their earlier stuff, but he respects bands being able to evolve when often times the fans don’t want them to. The guys talk about how much your physical body changes affect your music and how fans often times fault a band for changing their sound. They also touch on the snobbishness of the metal industry and how much metal is going to lose when Ozzy passes away due to the torch not being passed on. Pipeman touches on how one of the band members fathers passed away recently, but fortunately, managed to hear the album before he passed. He talks about how his father loved the music and said it was the best music of 2022. He touches on how lively his father was talking about it and it made it really special for him. You can check the guys out via social media on Instagram and TikTok @theofferingbandofficial and facebook.com/theofferingmusic. For merch you can head to theofferingmusic.com which is your one stop shop for all things The Offering. There’s some awesome vinyl’s and t-shirts for you to choose from.American progressive metal quartet, The Offering, a band conceived during chaos of extreme times over the past couple years. The Offering has a new release coming out on November 4th titled "Seeing the Elephant". This experimental collection of 10 tracks forms a rich and adventurous undertone, combined with heartfelt depth within the songcraft. The strong political undertones, in combination with the integration of those experimental processes, lead to this accomplishing our goal of making something that felt similar to that of a journalistic war photographer account. The album intimately connects the accomplished song-master to his cancer-stricken father. There are inflection points throughout Seeing the Elephant, but “Tipless” and “My Heroine”—featuring Indian Classical players Purna Prasad and Shuba Gunapu on the mridangam and veena, respectively—are especially poignant. We finished the album a week before my dad passed away, not before he could listen to it. He told me it was the greatest album he’d ever heard from me. I think so, too.”“Flower Children” offers tongue-in-cheek commentary on the peace inversion of hippies-turned-authoritarians“The one thing I wanted to do differently with this album was to make it feel more like a home-grown effort,” Nishad says. “I roped in one of my best friends from this journey, Zach Weeks of God City Studios, to help with the engineering. Zach is one of the most intelligent engineers in music right now—Kurt Ballou hand-picked him to God City Studios for a reason. He’s got an incredible gift...
