Though Citi's experts give it a 40% chance of happening, Forbes reporter Karl Kaufman argues against it because Apple has already committed $1 billion towards creating new shows and movies. Both companies have not commented on any deal, nor are there any talks at this time.     According to a report from The Wrap, the three top-performing films of 2017: Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Beauty and the Beast, and Wonder Woman, were all headlined by female leads, something that hasn't happened since 1958. According to data from Box Office Madness and Box Office Mojo, the top film of 1958 was South Pacific starring Mitzi Gaynor, the second was the comedy Auntie Mame, which starred Rosalind Russell as a Manhattan socialite and in third was the adaptation of Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, starring Elizabeth Taylor in the lead role as Maggie.    BUY/SELL/AGREE/DISAGREE   On a recent appearance on Josh Horowitz's podcast Happy Sad Confused, Christian Bale revealed that he was in talks with Lucasfilm to appear in Solo: A Star Wars Story, before ultimately passing - giving Woody Harrelson access to the part in the end.   The first trailer for Mom and Dad has landed online. The film comes from writer/director Brian Taylor, one half of the directing duo that helmed Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance and the first two Crank films. For his first solo effort, Taylor takes on a darkly comic action thriller in which parents of a small suburban town suddenly have the urge to murder their children. Mom and Dad stars Nicolas Cage and Selma Blair and will hit theatres and VOD on January 19th.   Universal Pictures has released a new trailer for Fifty Shades Freed. In the final installment of the trilogy, Anastasia (Dakota Johnson) and Christian (Jamie Dornan) tie the knot, but demons from both their paths threaten to rip apart their happiness. The film opens on February 9th.    MAIL BAG   LIVE TWITTER QUESTIONS   Check out the YouTube Playlist for Awesometacular: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLayt6616lBckuUHPMdwFINi_vcyc-ysnC   Follow us on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/ColliderVideo Follow us on Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/ColliderVideo Follow us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/colliderdotcom   Follow Mark: https://twitter.com/MarkEllisLive Follow Perri: https://twitter.com/PNemiroff Follow John: https://twitter.com/TheRochaSays Follow Ken: https://twitter.com/KenNapzok   As the online source for movies, television, breaking news, incisive content, and imminent trends, Collider Videos is more than an essential destination.   Visit Collider: http://collider.com   Follow them on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/Collider   SUBSCRIBE TO THE SCHMOES YOUTUBE CHANNEL HERE: https://www.youtube.com/user/schmoesknow   Collider Show Schedule:   MONDAY: TV Talk | http://bit.ly/29BR7Yi    TUESDAY: Heroes | http://bit.ly/29F4Job   Team Schmoedown | http://bit.ly/29C2iRV    WEDNESDAY: Nightmares | http://bit.ly/29BQUV3    THURSDAY:...
