Fried Squirms Horror Movie Podcast

Happy Halloween! Fried Squirms has now been around for a year, and with that we are happy to hand out to all you good little boys and girls a podcast all on one of our favorite holiday indulgences: Trick 'r Treat! Ghoulish stories from one town all unfold on one Halloween night when the holidays' enforcer creeps through the streets, and we here at the Squirms are ready to follow all his rules!

This week the Squirms want to play a game...that game is to go back to the beginning of a franchise and see how it all started off. A serial killer sets his victims in traps, and whether they live or die is up to them, but did our memories of this movie trap us into watching it overeagerly?

...and now, finally, we have the main course. A violent intertwining of ingredients symbolizing jealousy and acceptance. Hannibal on the lam sprinkled with Fairy dust! Hannibal's final(?) season is perhaps the tastiest bite yet for the Squirms! The Squirms dive in deep for this one, noting discrepancies in the original recipe and the final product, and chewing their way to revelations as layers are peeled back. In all, this gorefest of a show is one of the finest we've ever feasted on and we are very much hoping for dessert!

The next course is a very complicated dish. A Will/Hannibal fusion, the flavor profiles start separate and almost seem to fight as they come together to make something....more. On the side, we of course have some very thinly sliced Katz smothered in thoughts and revelations from the Squirms themselves! Listen to us continue to gobble up this fantastic meal of a show!

Before we begin, you all must be warned. Nothing here is vegetarian....except for one of the podcasters. On this episode of Fried Squirms the boys drool over the scrumptiously bloody visual and cerebral treat that is the Hannibal television series. Friends, sun, games, bunks, the lake, dances, murder. It's just another summer away at camp for the Fried Squirms and this week they are here to talk about this insane movie. Two cousins go away to camp and people start getting killed, but by who? The details leave Tyler with more questions than any other movie to date and concludes with possibly the greatest twist ending of all time.

This week the Squirms finally get to take you all on the murder ride that is their most mentioned movie, House of 1000 Corpses. Four teens run afoul of a killer family in this crazy horror movie that includes clowns, a character named Dr. Satan, and Dwight Schrute. When combined with a cast that includes show favorites like Bill Moseley and Tom Towles, as well as an unmistakably 70s feel and it's no wonder it has Danny and Tyler screaming "Holy Miss Moley, got me a live one!"

The Squirms did their homework before the It reboot became a smash hit this weekend and took a trip down memory lane to old Derry. Danny and Tyler go deep into what they thought about the first half of the original mini-series and realize a bit of the Forgetting must have happened to them too in this episode concentrating mostly on the child losers (much like the movie). Will they float? Or will the adult sections anchor them too far down? Listen and find out!

Danny and Tyler went out to the movies to see IT. Float along with us as we go into what we liked about IT (almost everything), didn't like about IT (almost nothing),and overall how IT made us squeal!

Who can take a hook hand, a sprinkling of fear, and make you scared whenever you go look into the mirror? The Candyman. The Candyman can. This week the Fried Squirms say his name way more than five times to bring you all they can about 1992's Candyman. Travel to the bad side of town with them and learn more about this version of 'Bloody Mary', as well as how to use your very own mirror to see strange, terrifying sights...

American disregard leads to big, terrifying, trouble for a South Korean family trying to get by in this phenomenal monster movie from 2006! The Fried Squirms this week think something smells fishy with the government in this one, and dive deep into the genius of a monster movie where the true tension is built around a family's separation.

This week the Fried Squirms are going nowhere - and want you to come along! If you have only ever experienced watching Michael Rooker in blue paint then make sure to amply prepare yourself for this dark story based on the confessions of a real killer! Danny and Tyler do their best to separate the fantasy from reality of this grim tale, all while getting caught up in their own excitement for this horror gem!

James Woods! A Baldwin! Johnny Tsunami! The Fried Squirms first dedicated vampire month ends, appropriately, with a film all about ending vampires from horror legend John Carpenter. VAMPIRES pitches the Church's best(?) slayers up against the first vampire in a bloody affair that leaves the boys wondering....when watching Jack Crow cuss at vampires in there, you get a little wood?

Take a trip down south to Mexico as the Squirms continue their run on vampires with Guillermo del Toro's debut flick, CRONOS. Alchemy brings immortal life, but the secret is lost and then accidentally used. Can a grandfather's love beat back the darkness and Hellboy himself? Danny and Tyler jump in to find out.

What do you get when you mix a sexploitation director, his muse, one of horror's greatest leading men, and a troubled German hothead? Turns out the answer is one of the most faithful adaptations of Bram Stoker's Dracula ever put on screen! Rehash the greatness of Christopher Lee and delve into the weirdness of the rest of Jess Franco's cast with the Fried Squirms.
