Things I'm watching: China - reportedly recovering. Good news. Italy - big problems, based on relatively small numbers. Bad news if the same happens here. In neither case were essential services, utilities affected. The exception would be medical services, heavily affected especially in Italy. The bigger problem in my opinion… Repo Market - $500B dumped last night. This is enormous and unprecedented. Financial fall out could be on a scale not seen. In my opinion we're entering Phase II. We went from 100 cases to 1,000 in 10 days. We're now in Phase II, headed to 10,000 cases in a 10 day period. I think it's likely we'll go to Phase III which is a climb to 100,000 cases. Manageable. This is essentially where China stopped, at about 125,000 cases. The question is will we do the same. Will it get worse and climb to 1M cases? Much harder to manage. Will there be second and third waves? We're managing 3 things: Medical needs, economy and panic. Strange times, very strange times.
