Throughout this series, we are going to look at what it means to 'Know Joy,' no matter what. No matter what happens in life, we can truly know joy at all times. As a church, we are going to walk through the book of Philippians. We are going to get to know the Apostle Paul and listen to what God has to say to us about living a life with a true inner joy.

This is a special week for Red Rocks Church, as Pastor Shawn cast a new vision for our over crowded buildings and a way forward to reach areas that we believe God is leading us to reach. As a family, it's really important to remember what God has already done and to thank everyone who was able to give, go, or serve to help launch Littleton, Lakewood, and Arvada. What God has done has been nothing short of miraculous and we are so thankful for each of you who have felt led to be a part. For those who have already sacrificed, we thank you for using your time, gifts, and resources to build the kingdom. For everyone else, let this be a great opportunity to ask God whether and how you should be involved.
Throughout this series, we are going to look at relationships and how all of them are intertwined and connected to a greater story. We are going to talk about adversity, how we get back up when we fall, unconditional love, and finding real redemption. The good news is that this greater story is not a made-up fairy tale, but a true story with a real fairy tale ending.

What a person believes about baptism is of utmost importance, and we need to be clear about what baptism is and what it is not. Who should be baptized? When should they be baptized? How should they be baptized? All of these questions are answered as we reflect upon what baptism means. Baptism is a visual and symbolic demonstration of a person's union with Christ in the likeness of His death and resurrection. It signifies that a person's former way of life has been put to death and depicts a release from the mastery of sin.

For those of us who were there at the start, when we hear the word 'heritage,' we think of Heritage Square Theme Park and over a decade of issues as our little church grew up there. The church isn't a building, it is a body of believers; it's the people who are the church. We are those people and regardless of the building we meet in, we are still Red Rocks Church. Throughout this series, we are going to talk about how there are seasons and situations in our lives that God can use to teach us great lessons, if we are willing to listen and keep our eyes focused on Jesus Christ. So whether you were here in the beginning or this is your very first week, allow God to speak to you about your own life as we look for the lessons that God might be trying to teach us.

In the life of a believer, it is far too easy to get distracted from what is most important in life. We tend to look at what other people might be doing around us. For some, it is easy to get caught up in the busy routine of life and leave little room to listen for God's voice. For others, it is easy to just blindly follow the crowd, wherever they might be going, because deep down we don't want to rock the boat; we just desperately want to fit in, regardless of whether we honor God with our lives or not. So what does it look like to be a 'rebel for God'? If we look at the lives of Paul and Barnabas in Acts, we see their boldness regardless what the crowd around them is doing.
