 093: G&E Take on Big Pharma | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 27:39

In this edition of the G and E Show Grant and Elena Cardone take on big pharma. Grant struggled for many years with drugs and knows the challenges that many struggle with. Drugs are a problem for good people. It doesn’t just make a problem for individuals, it creates problems for whole families. The side effects are endless. How is taking a drug natural? People think it’s normal. You must confront it. Think about some of these facts: 80% of all pain meds, prescription drugs, on planet earth are consumed by less than 5% of the population. 99% of the world’s Vicodin is consumed by Amercians Big pharma hit over a trillion in sales this past year 28K overdoses last year There are 300 million guns in US and 4 billion prescriptions. Average household has 15 prescriptions. There are fewer deaths in cars and guns than overdoses. 50 deaths everyday of pain med overdoses. They banned tobacco in commercials. Why aren’t we banning pharma? Over 10 million kids put on Ritalin for hyperactivity. The bottom line is most of the time drugs are not needed. Drugs are seen as an easy solution. There are no short cuts in life folks. Big pharma manufactures problems. People must confront the pain, ask why they have the pain in the first place, take no short cuts, and never trust the “trusted” sources. Just because you are a “doctor” and wear a white suit doesn’t mean I should trust you.

 092: Terrorism in Your Family | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 32:10

This week on the G and E Show Grant and Elena Cardone talk about what happened in Brussels yesterday. Whatcha gonna do when they come for you? Most people do not want to confront evil. Are you preparing your family? As the provider of his household, Grant believes safety is part of providing. If you go into a movie theater, you need to notice who’s there. Where’s the exit? Be aware. Profile. People need to pull their head out of the sand. You don’t want to be in a position of regret by being unprepared. Are you willing to go to extremes? People are afraid of being labeled as racists. If you go into a business meeting without a contract, you will pay the price. You must be prepared for everything in life.

 091: How to Build Trust | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 40:44

In this edition of the G and E Show Grant and Elena Cardone discuss how to build trust. How did Grant and Elena get to where they are today? They’ve built trust. How can you fast track trust? 1.Decide that you are going to back your partner and make it known. There are people around you in your sphere of influence that should not be able to speak negatively about your partner. Don’t let someone drop doubt in your universe. 2.Keep and deliver your agreements. Can you break an agreement? Yes, but go to the person and get a new agreement. Don’t be one foot in and one foot out the door. 3.Keep the PR (reputation) of your partner good. Don’t jab at them in a dinner party and say you are just joking, and don’t go to friends and family and complain about your partner to them. It requires restraint. Grant says TRUST yourself, and then be there for us, not just you. Elena had trouble leaving LA because of trust. Trust yourself enough to understand that you can be wrong. Don’t trust your spouse first. Trust you. That means you need to be reliable , good, honest, and ethical.

090: How Couples Should Spend Money | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 32:53

Grant says to spend all the money! The American savings rate is hovering at 3-5%. Stop holding back. Spend it all! If you can’t save 20% spend all your money and make it official: you’re broke. Exhaust the spending and get it out of your system. Flip your attention and put all your focus and attention on income. Spending money is not your problem. Making money is your problem. At the point you become officially broke you will be motivated to put all your attention on your recovery. If you’re not producing, you’re rock bottom. You don’t get money by saving it. You get it by investing it. If you’re making $50k you should be saving $15k a year. I put 40% in a savings account to invest later in another business. If you can’t save 30-40% you should be spending it all. Every decision you two should be making is about how to bring in more money. The kids, your spouse, everyone should be bringing in more cheddar.

 089: Investing in Your Relationship | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 28:36

1.Weekly Planning Meeting: Meet once a week to reinforce the team. Go over goals, get on same page, and strategize together. It’s a way to consistently realign together, to get behind your brand as a couple, and talk about how you will represent each other in the upcoming week. 2.An acknowledgment a day keeps the arguments away: A few words of affirmation go a long way. Build up your spouse and seek to find good things to say about them. 3.Make a deposit: Don’t rest on your laurels. After you make a big deposit, have that big win, that big thing you’ve done—don’t think that you can stop working in the relationship. Keep stoking that fire and put more wood on it. Every day you are either making deposits or withdrawals. If you make too many withdrawals eventually you’ll have nothing. Your significant other needs you to make continual deposits into their emotional bank account. 50/50 is two broken people giving half. You want 100/100 which is 200%. Give at least an hour a day with your significant other and learn to make your relationship work because if your marriage rocks, that will boost you in your career.
