Building upon the last 2 videos I posted in this channel, we hear about plans to use the new TangerineSDR device, which has multiple uses, to build a Personal Space Weather Station for HamSCI and the Ham Radio Community.
Scotty Cowling, WA2DFI, provides more detailed information about the Software Defined Radio SDR, being developed for a Personal Space Weather Station, among other reasons, by HamSCI and TAPR. We can expect to see this device in early 2020, hopefully by Orlando Hamcation.
From the 2019 TAPR Digital Communications Conference, Nathaniel, W2NAF, provides an update to the Personal Space Weather Station being developed by TAPR and HamSCI, which includes the Tangerine SDR device.
The long awaited AT-D578UVIII Pro Radio is here for DMR Mobile Users. This feature-packed "Pro" model includes GPS, APRS and Bluetooth, and for Operators in the USA, it also includes the 1.25M 220MHz band. Let's take a first look at this radio, how to update the firmware, attempting to load a codeplug, and some power output tests in this first, but certainly not last, episode.
