Julia weaves memories about midwives and herbs being the main community healers in the South in the 50s, leading her to study herbalism and acupuncture in NYC in the 70s and 80s out of love for her Black communities. Julia Bennett is an acupuncturist trained in Chinese and Native American herbal medicine. She is a founding collective member of Third Root Community Health Center.
