 July 2023 CPA Exam Changes | Another71 Podcast 102 | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: Unknown

This CPA Exam podcast covers: July 2023 CPA Exam changesErin (DOJO) Currently I am hammering out MCQs. I did poorly on the SIMS but did not feel like any of the practice SIMS I did with (CPA Review course) set me up to succeed. Gary (DOJO) I took auditing 5 times 68,70,71,74,71. I am losing my mind. I do not know what I am doing wrong. I think the simulations are the issue and tricky mcq. Of the four sections in the audit exam, I tend to do better on parts 1 and 4. Part 2 and 3 I will try to buckle down some more. It is a hit or miss for me. (NINJA Only, Becker + NINJA, Gleim + NINJA) Thuy (DOJO) I would like to know if I can listen to the Ninja audio while working, without having reading the book or the notes. For the intense note-taking while reading the book or listening to the audio, instead of taking my own notes, can I just rewrite the Ninja notes? (Becker + NINJA) Francis (DOJO) Are there SIMS/TBS for the AUD section? (Becker + NINJA) Matthew (DOJO) I just got my score report and got a 74 and I need to pass audit soon was wondering if you could help me. (Surgent + NINJA) Lee Anne (DOJO) I have taken the BEC about 7 times and cannot pass the exam. I feel good about the exam but clearly not doing well. I have been studying for the exam for about 2 years. I am currently now just focusing on MCQs and the ninja cram sessions. Would love feedback on what I can do to pass! In the last test I took I received was a 70 which is 2 points up from the last exams. (Becker + NINJA) Kristin (DOJO) I have ADHD and I have been struggling with the lack of structure/routine for what I need to be doing each day to study with the Becker software. I have pushed my exam back multiple times already and all my friends taking the exam have already moved past me- any daily tasks/ study routine recommendations to prepare for FAR would be immensely helpful as I just feel so overwhelmed I don't know where to start.  Pass FAR CPA Exam in 3 Weeks | CPA Exam Study Tips | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 2:28

Starting things off with Krishma. Jeff, I'm studying for my third FAR attempt. My previous scores were 70 and 68. I'm planning to take my exam three weeks from now. Please tell me how I should start and what I should focus on. If your exam is three weeks from now and you're just starting and you're just starting FAR, unless you are studying full time, then you really need to probably push it back. But let's assume that you had a full. Plan. So with the 70 and 68, you're getting there, but there's a significant hole in your steady game. And so essentially you need to follow the NINJA study framework. Just forget this avenue, forget this 68, just mentally start over and just go through the FAR material. Nailed the FAR concepts and take notes while you're doing it. So it doesn't say what course you're using. Presumably NINJA. But the concepts either with your NINJA book or NINJA sparring and lectures start expiring lectures or the lectures for whatever CPA Review course you're using. If you prefer that, then switch over to NINJA and take notes the entire time that switch over to NINJA MCQ and spend about two weeks on that. So you spend about two weeks on the concepts about two weeks, and then MCQ. Take notes over at all. Then you spend about a week writing your notes and then a week doing your final review. Part of that should be the NINJA FAR cram. And but with three weeks out and you're just starting, I think you need to push your exam.  Recovering from a 30 on the CPA Exam | Another71 Podcast #101 | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: Unknown

In this CPA Exam podcast, we cover what do to if you score super-low on the CPA Exam (like a 30) and how to turn things around quickly & much more including live CPA study questions. Have a question for the podcast? Ask Jeff. 1. Krishma - I am studying for my FAR third attempt. My previous scores were 70 & 68. I am planning to take my exam three weeks from now. Please tell me how should I start and what should I focus on? 2. What is the best way to pass FAR in the next couple of weeks? My test is coming up and I am absolutely struggling even when following the 4-week accelerated plan. I failed my first exam with a 30 and it dropped by confidence like a rock. - Brian (Becker + NINJA) 3. Hello, I recently failed FAR with a 64 and am trying to pick myself back up after this. I just purchased your materials and am just wondering where to even begin? Which aspects of NINJA would you believe would be the most helpful for me? I do not understand how to proceed after failing FAR. - Sarah (Becker + NINJA) 4. Jeff, what’s the best advice/top 3 things to know for the FAR exam? My MC is trending up but sadly still below 50 percent. I feel like I know it better than that. Think I just blew it in the evaluation phase. - Dylan (NINJA Only) 5. Eric (DOJO) Hi All, I scheduled Audit exam in 22 days. I Passed FAR and REG already, but I pretty much know nothing about AUD. Need advice on how to prepare it in like 3 weeks, thanks! 6. Justin (DOJO) Does anyone know if CPA Exam Continuous testing is staying for 2022? From my understanding, it was only a policy in place because of covid but I haven’t seen/heard anything that it’s going away. If anyone has any info on this that’d be great! Thanks! 7. Katheryn (DOJO) Hi Jeff, can you recommend a timeline for getting FAR passed in approx. five weeks (rather than the seven or eight that you suggest)?  How to Survive Losing Two CPA Exam Credits | Another71 Podcast #100 | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: Unknown

In this CPA podcast, we cover how to survive the misery of losing credits for two CPA Exam sections, studying for two CPA Exam sections at once & more. Have a question for the podcast? Ask Jeff. 1. Hey Jeff - I’m an international CPA student from Hong Kong. I’m just getting started with the CPA Exam process. Do I have to travel to the US to take my exams? If so - any recommendation on a state or city? 2. Erika - Is it possible to study for FAR in less than a month and pass, and if so - how much time is needed, and what is the study method? (also while working FT). (NINJA Only) 3. I received a failing score of 70 for BEC. This is my 3rd time taking it (previous scores are 54 & 61). I’m a new NINJA CPA subscriber. I was wondering if you had any advice on the next steps for my BEC retake. I saw on your website that there is a 4-week plan and a 7-week plan. Which do you recommend for this situation? Any advice and tips would be very appreciated!! - Emily 4. I started the becker CPA review last June and have put off taking far 3 times. When I tried doing everything becker said, it took me a month to get through 1 or 2 modules (yes, that's modules, not chapters). They said to write down every question I got wrong. That took forever. I also had sleep problems during the first 6 months of studying which really messed up my ability to study. I am so stressed out and confused as to how to digest the vast amount of information and retain it. I have a new job that starts soon and I really want to have at least one CPA exam under my belt so I can start my new job with confidence. 5. I am really struggling with passing the CPA exams and I am not sure what I should do to pass these exams. I started the exam process in November 2020 and have taken AUD, REG, and BEC thus far. I have failed AUD, REG, and BEC with scores of 43, 64, and 71, respectively. I do not know what to do anymore. I hammer MCQs and listen to your audio notes five times. For BEC, I read the entire book. I also started to do that with FAR, but I felt that I was not absorbing the information as well as I do with listening to your notes. Am I doing something wrong? Do you have any suggestions? I feel that I will not ever get through these exams, but I know I can because other people have done it. - Laura 6. Hello, Jeff. I’m preparing to study for my 3rd attempt at AUD. How often would you recommend doing the SIMS vs. MCQs? What sections of the MCQs are related to which AUD review chapters? - Paul (NINJA Only) 7. Hi Jeff, I did not pass FAR with a 74. I used the NINJA framework to the T, in my mind. But I have some holes evidently. Just trying to find out how to fix my mistake this time around. - Wil (Roger + NINJA) (and many more live CPA Exam study questions) Get Notified of Future Episodes Apple Podcasts | Spotify | Google Podcasts | Castbox | Podcast Addict | Overcast | Pocket Casts | Amazon Music | Stitcher | Pandora | RSS https://youtu.be/14mps1LDxg0

How to Get Accounting Experience for CPA License | Another71 Podcast #99 | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: Unknown

In this CPA podcast, we cover how to get accounting experience for your CPA license (does it mean leaving your current job?), Mock CPA Exams being a waste of time, MCQ vs SIM Study (50/50?), and much more. Have a question for the podcast? Ask Jeff. 1. I have taken BEC 4 times….. 68, 70, 71, 73. I am starting to get a bit stressed about it. I never did this poorly in college. I think I need to focus more and maybe just start the study process over for this exam. I do not want to have to retake AUD. That exam expires on 6/30/2022. I still have BEC, FAR, REG to complete. I am now going to commit more time to this as it is a priority for me. But I am considering switching to FAR, putting in the work, and taking it next. Then moving on to REG, then restudying for BEC and completing it. Do you think this makes sense? If not, could you give me your insight on a course of action? I appreciate your time and help. - Micah 2. Hi Jeff, I scored a 74 on the first FAR exam. I don't think my concepts are weak (except Governmental accounting, leases, and pensions) How should I solve MCQs on NINJA now, and how many? 3. Do I need to keep studying the books I got from Roger CPA or do I use NINJA CPA? I want to make sure I do not have to do both materials at the same time. 4. Combo: Do you have mini mocks instead of 4 long hours test if I can have 1.5 to 2 hours mini mock window? Is the NINJA practice exam a good gauge to see if you will pass the actual exam? If not, what is a good gauge on NINJA to see if you will pass the actual exam (trending score, overall percentage, etc.)? Nicole (Roger + NINJA) 5. Deborah (Another71 Forum) What is your advice on how to acquire two years of accounting experience for your CPA license if you are in a different line of work? 6. Just curious how you would recommend preparing for the simulation portion of the exam - Michael (NINJA Only) 7. I emailed you a few days ago before buying NINJA. I failed AUD 3 times now (60, 63, 67) and don't know what to do. I've done so many random sets of MCQ and sims in Becker, read the book, and did the MCQ and sims for each module. I don’t know where I am going wrong. I am retaking it for the 4th time. So, I have 10 days with NINJA before I take it. What do you recommend doing? - Mansi (Becker + NINJA) (and many more live CPA Exam study questions) Get Notified of Future Episodes Apple Podcasts | Spotify | Google Podcasts | Castbox | Podcast Addict | Overcast | Pocket Casts | Amazon Music | Stitcher | Pandora | RSS https://youtu.be/eRH47QwiAEc

Wearing a Mask during CPA Exam | Prometric ID Policy Change | Another71 Podcast #98 | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: Unknown

In this CPA podcast, we cover some CPA Exam news (Mask policy/ID change), as well as your CPA study questions. Recorded August 2021 (I forgot to upload) :D Have a question for the podcast? Ask Jeff. Grant (NINJA Only) - I am a month out from Studying. I am averaging around a 67 on the 30 question multiple quiz exams. I am trying to come up with a planned strategy for the next month. 2. Shrav (Wiley + NINJA)- I have 4 weeks to study for REG, currently averaging 60% in the MCQs and just getting started working on the SIMS. Any tips to pass would be helpful! 3. Justin (NINJA Only) - Hey Jeff, after failing audit 3 times(70,71,72).  I stepped away and focused on BEC. I passed BEC earlier this month and am now re-visiting Audit. I'm only through about 250 MCQs but I've been successfully getting 70% or higher right on each group of 30. I have REG expiring in March 2022 with FAR still yet to take. My initial plan was to give myself 5-6 weeks to study and take Audit at the end of September. However, with the immediate success I've been having with Audit, I'm considering pushing it up to mid-September. Would that be smart or should I stick with my current plan and aim for the end of Sept exam? Not sure if I'm getting lucky or if I actually retained this much Audit material from prior. 4. Amanda (NINJA Only) - Is it okay to just use the sparring lectures and not read the book? I have trouble staying focused while reading the book and often end up taking too many notes. Advice? Bhupesh (Becker + NINJA) - Thank you for all your support. Can you please suggest if I do all the sparring replays in the beginning do I still need to read the book? Means do sparring covers all the topics/ exceptions or only important/main topics. 5. Georgelina (Gleim + NINJA) - I couldn't figure out if the questions and book have been updated with the most recent CPA exam changes, Gleim updates each quarter.  I just wasn't sure if Ninja did too. 6. Tannisha (Surgent + NINJA) - I have 7 days left until my exam. So far my ready score on Surgent is 60. How do I narrow my focus to make sure I ace MCQ and Sims? Also, how can I use ninja notes for the next 7 days? 7. Markos (Surgent + NINJA) - Is it possible to get a passing score in two weeks of study time? My exam is in early September. I'm willing and dedicating more than 8 hours a day.
