 212 Creative Reflection & Planning | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:16:47

This week is one of, in my opinion, the best episodes in the history of How She Creates. Caylee and I are walking through a series of questions Caylee wrote to help you reflect on your year in terms of creativity and how to plan your creative goals for the upcoming year. We have a lot of in depth conversations about our own creative challenges and success, about how we define art, and what we are pursuing creatively in 2018. We would love to hear what your answers are to these questions. You can follow along with us and answer the questions or if you want them in a printable worksheet format, simply add your email in the shownotes to the grab the questions and journaling page. http://www.lauren-likes.com/how-she-creates-ep-212-creative-reflections/

Ep 211 Big Projects with Lauren Hooper | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:42:03

Today is a special episode! It’s just me and Im walking you through, in depth, how to choose, prepare, start, maintain and finish a big project well. I share my story and tips from completing the 100 Day Project this year and how you can complete your own project. This episode is SUPER practical and hopefully will help you be very successful in any project you do, no matter the size. This episode is actually a free lesson from my new course Stories From Here. Which is a course, based on my 100 Day Project, that helps you tell the story of where you live through photographs and stories. This can be a big project, so I want my students to be prepared to be successful at it and any other big project they tackle. To help you get started I have created a 5 day instagram challenge with prompts similar to the course prompts. 5 photography and 5 journaling prompts that will help you tell the story of your home, neighborhood and city. This is great practice for following through on a big challenge or project and a great sampling from the course. All you have to do is to sign up for my newsletter to get the challenge and participate by sharing your photos on instagram using the hashtag #storiesfromhereclass. She shares about their incredible plan to move to Nepal to be teacher trainers and to bring arts and healing to the community there. A note about learning more and partnering with Abby & Ross for their work in Nepal: If you are as excited and intrigued as I am about the Williamsons journey to Nepal they would like to invite you to fill out the “Join Us” form on our website and receive our newsletter and/or more info. They would love to keep in touch through their newsletter with stories from Nepal and can share how you can support them on this journey. Be sure to tell them you found them via How She Creates! How She Creates Challenge This week we want to see how you express your creativity through dance! Get out there and try a dance class or just turn on some good jams and get moving.
