Boards & Swords
Summary: Have you ever thought: Tabletop gaming podcasts just aren't cringe worthy enough? Have you ever made terrible jokes like "If Noah found a pig murdered, would it be an Ark-ham Horror?" Then you should check out Boards & Swords, the podcast featuring Bad Jokes, Good Folks, and Tabletop games. Every other week, Chris and Philip show what happens when you let Dad Jokes get dangerously close to tabletop games.

Another on location episode! Next time we’ll be back in studio but in this episode Chris is on the floor at Gen Con 2022 talking with a bunch of folks about what they’ve got on display. Thanks to Eric Yurko for bantering with Chris in the beginning, and to Edge Publishing, Colorway Game Labs, and Dire Wolf for talking to us about products and embarrassing themselves with some impromptu jokes!
We’ve been doing this for 200 episodes! So we are live on location at High Tide Games in Southern Maryland so real people can groan at our bad jokes. Also, Asmodee is making board games about Squid Game and another new Dune board game is coming. Plus, we get others to tell us bad puns for once as we do a “Pun-off” to giveaway a ton of prizes! There’s still plenty to give away! Email us with what you think your best pun and/or related feedback on what we could do better! feedback@boardsandswords.com

Spelljammer is coming to D&D5e! Also, Hasbro might be using D&D system for other properties, go figure! It’s also been two years since Digital Gaming was forced onto the center stage - what do we think? Where can it stay when many are going back to in person games??
We get scholarly in this episode as we talk about books! Specifically, what board games have fiction books written in their world? Plus, plenty of april fool’s jokes that weren’t jokes after all, Mandalorian minis coming soon to your Star Wars games, and a campaign expansion for Cosmic Encounter?
Philip is recovering from Vegas, so Chris got Shaun from the former “All the Bits” podcast to come on the show and talk about a few games that are great to play on the go. Also, a brand new version of Catan got announced, a popular RPG maker is making a game where you play as First Responders, and much more!
