For the third time in the past 18 months, American Humane Association’s Red Star Rescue team is on the ground in Tennessee caring for horses in need. Listen in as she chats with the Red Star team’s Josh Cary and famed equine veterinarian Dr. Jennifer Dunlap about their deployment in the Volunteer State.

This week’s episode is the second of two dedicated to the new Warner Bros./MGM film Max! Up first, Robin chats with actress Lauren Graham about her role in the film and her love of animals. Later, Robin records interviews live at the Washington, DC premiere for the film with Congressman Gus Bilirakis, Congressman Henry Cuellar, Congressman Richard Hudson, and asks some kids in attendance their thoughts on the film!

This week’s episode is the first of two dedicated to the upcoming Warner Bros./MGM film Max! Robin sits down with the film’s director Boaz Yakin and young star Josh Wiggins to discuss the bond between Max and the characters, and between the actors and production crew and the animal stars. Later, Robin chats with Dr. Kwane Stewart, the Chief Veterinary Officer for American Humane Association’s "No Animals Were Harmed®" program, about how they ensured the safety of those animal stars while filming some incredible stunts.

Robin is live from Capitol Hill this week for the launch of the newest Congressional caucus, the Caucus for the Humane Bond, which celebrates the important role animals play in our lives and will work to make a more humane world for them. Many special guests were at the event and are featured on this week’s show, including caucus co-chairs Congressmen Gus Bilirakis and Henry Cuellar, Tom Gunderson and world famous animal star Crystal the Capuchin, 2014 Service Dog Team of the Year JJ and KK, Hollywood animal trainer Christina Potter, and more!

As Adopt-a-Cat Month begins, Robin recaps last week’s dramatic transport of hundreds of cats and dogs from rural Virginia and Alabama to new forever homes in New York and Florida. Joining her are Debi Boies, the co-founder of Pilots N Paws, who coordinated 10 of her volunteer pilots and their airplanes as part of the transport, and Paul Raybould, American Humane Association’s Chief Innovation Officer who was there for every step of the journey and has many tales to tell from the road and air.

Last week American Humane Association traveled to Capitol Hill to meet with Senators and members of Congress about the importance of dogs to the military and the need to make sure they all come home. Army Specialist Brent Grommet and Marine Corporal Jeff DeYoung were there for the meetings and join Robin on this week’s episode to talk about what their dogs Matty and Cena mean to them and why Congress needs to act now.

Red Star National Director Justin Scally and members of his team report on the situation they’re experiencing helping more than 70 cats and dogs who were found in utterly deplorable conditions.
