If we're honest with ourselves, would we really want an inconsistent God who allows us to "raise hell" on Saturday, then come looking for Heaven Sunday morning, only to repeat that destructible pattern over and over? Although God forgives, we should strive to live obediently to Him every day.
God "turned His face away" from Jesus as He died on the cross, so that we could then turn our face toward God for salvation through Christ's ultimate sacrifice. When we turn from our sinful life and put our faith in Him, we begin a relationship with that lasts for eternity!

The Bible says nothing's impossible with God, but He always works for His own glory. So the more clear version of that truth is: when we're living in obedience to God, there's nothing that can stand in our way! Sure, He may allow difficulties to come, but only so that others may see His glory in and through it all.

One of the greatest ways to determine how well our lives are being used by God is to examine the parts of our lives that have been wasted. Instead of being distracted by momentary pleasure, let's run and fight with endurance, staying focused on Jesus, to finish this life having used it for His glory!

Violence in a relationship is an atrocity and should never be tolerated. That said, God can change even the hardest of hearts, and can bring to life even the deadest of relationships! If you're involved in a violent environment, seek safety, and then seek God for what He wants you to do.

Being a Christ follower is way more than just saying "yes" to Jesus, getting our ticket to Heaven, then waiting to die. It's also "taking up our cross", giving our life here on earth, following Him, and living for Him!

When we look at the core of what's going on in our heart and life, are we just doing "religious" things, or even "spiritual" things? Or are we doing LOVE things, motivated by our love for God and His love for people?

The cool thing about giving as God leads us, is that He gets the glory, and we get the blessing! Not a "give to get" blessing, but a "give to bless others" blessing. Then, if God blesses us with more, it's simply just "more to give". After all, it's all His anyway!
