While it's very important to study the Bible (after all, it's our Life Handbook!), God doesn't choose the smartest, most well-read person, but the humble and obedient person to be His hands and feet. Humility and obedience are the requirements to be in service of the Master. That way, He gets the glory, and we get the blessing!

If we as believers would learn to just come to our Father in the first place, we most likely wouldn't end up in there messes that cause us turmoil, unrest, and stress, leaving us all pooped out! When we obey His prompting, we'll only be doing the things that He gives us the strength to do.

There are certain days that come and go for all of us, that are attached to painful, sad, tragic memories. However, when the Bible encourages us that EACH AND EVERY day is one that the Lord made, and we can rejoice and be glad in it, that gives us His redemptive power to "save that date" for His glory and His purposes.

Jesus’ ministry was hands on, touching and healing all sorts of people. God extends His hands to us, willing to work through the dirty mess we’ve made in our lives. When people come into our lives who God calls us to minister to, let's be willing to get messy and be hands-on!

In the Old Testament, the animal sacrifice was a lamb and the bread was unleavened. In the New Testament, Jesus is the Lamb, slain for our sins, and we're to be unleavened as believers - no evil, no complaining, no malice, nothing but Jesus in our lives.

When we truly repent, we don’t go back to doing the same thing, but rather we make a change in our lives with God’s help and strength. Once change is made, we can experience fellowship with God.

The Old Testament people had to make continual sacrifices for their sins, but the guilt of their sins never went away. When Jesus came and died on the cross, He was the final sacrifice needed to not only offer us forgiveness, but to also free us of the guilt that our sin brings!

If we're walking with God and are tuned to His will and His urging in any situation, our faith in Him allows us to trust to obey Him, even if it doesn't make sense. When we're listening to God, He'll stretch us for His purpose of reaching others through us!
