News flash: we, aren't, God! And sometimes, just like it is with the earthly parent/child relationship, our Parent knows what's best for us, regardless of whether or not we understand His reasoning. The faithful and obedient thing that a Christian can do, is spend regular time in prayer and Word study, extracting God's Truth, understand what He reveals, and then trust Him for all the rest!

The words in Scripture don't make a difference until the Holy Spirit reveals their depth and truth in a life-changing way. Rather than just reading the words, let's remember to ask God to help those words "jump off the page" and infiltrate our lives, so that we can truly understand the depth of His love and will. Then, as we live out His words, it'll be noticeable to others, hopefully leading to a conversation!

There's a huge difference between just READING the Word, and LIVING the Word. During our quiet times in the Bible, let's remember to "chew" on the things that it says - to really meditate on what we're reading - thinking deeply and praying about how we can apply it to our lives!

King Sing | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Our loving Heavenly Father rejoices over His people, when we listen to Him and obey what He teaches us. No matter how long we’ve been living however we want to live, we can return to Him, and He'll sing with joy because of how much He loves us!

 Kids-R-Us | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Children aren't just the future, they're also the present! In scripture we read how much Jesus treasured kids, and we ought to treasure and invest in them just as deeply. They'll grow to carry on the values that they're taught (good or bad values!), so let's be sure to pour into them God's values, as we're also then investing in the future.

Too often we find ourselves in a spiritual rut, where it's easy to fall back into a "comfort zone" of remaining immature and childish, rather than taking on the responsibility of growing up. God wants His children to mature, getting to a point where we can raise new Christians to become spiritually mature. But we can't do that unless we're growing as well!

We can be quick to judge others who claim to be Christians, but don't act accordingly. However, rather than being judgmental of them (or even of ourselves when we mess up), let's try to understand that God’s work in a believer's life takes time. Once we become Christians, there's NOTHING we can do to lose God's gift of salvation, so let's take hope in His promise to complete the work He's begun in all of us!

Out Of Order | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Putting the cart before the horse. Counting our chickens before they're hatched. Ready, fire, aim. Doing things out of order might sloppily arrive at something close to the goal, but it'll be at the cost of what's most beneficial for us. Same goes for God's order of priorities for His children! It's in His priorities where we find all that He's promised, because we're living life in the way (and the order) that He designed them to be done.
