At some point, we've probably all found ourselves caught in a cycle of sin that we can't stop on our own. In those moments, it's easy to feel trapped and afraid to ask for help from God or from other people. But until we bring our darkest imperfections into the light, we'll keep being stuck in the same cycle. One of the best ways we can seek freedom is by letting God use others to help us -- because one day, we'll have the chance to pay it forward for someone else.

It's important to be intentional and set goals. But how do we make sure that we're hearing God's voice as we're setting them? There are specific desires that God Himself places in our hearts, and they're part of His plan for our lives. Scripture encourages us to be ready to obey when He calls us -- and working towards His goals, not our own, helps us to be prepared when the time comes to respond!

What is it that you're "hungry" and "thirsty" for? Jesus said that He's the "Bread of Life", and that we've got to fill ourselves with Him to receive that life. When we hunger and thirst after His righteousness, He promises to fill us up and to satisfy us.

We don't get to choose all the trials and tribulations that come our way. But we do get to choose how we respond to them. We can either let our circumstances get the best of us, or we can trust God and allow His peace to dwell in us no matter what storms we face.

When we're wrapped up in sin, we often have a tendency to hide from God out of fear, and we cling to that sin instead, as if it'll somehow satisfy us. But the truth is, God already knows our deepest, darkest secrets, and He's the only one who can offer us hope for the future that He's lovingly planned. He doesn't want us to hide from Him -- He wants us to go seek Him and the grace He freely offers us!

In Christ, we have all the power we need to withstand temptation and keep from falling into sin. The problem is: do we even realize we have it? In the same way that we have to put on sunblock to keep from getting burned, we have to put on the "Sonblock" that's available to us by asking God for His protection and His strength to resist the enemy's lies.

In times of grief, we seek comfort, but do we seek it from the One Who knows every part of our pain? Psalm 34:18 tells us, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." God promises to bring His comfort to us when we bring our brokenness to Him -- and one of the ways we do that is to worship Him even in the midst of our greatest trials and suffering.

You might be familiar with the old hymn that goes, "The church is not a building. The church is not a steeple. The church is not a resting place. The church is a people!" But it's more than just a catchy song. When God lives in you and me, He fills us to overflowing. And when we're filled with God, we can't help but spill over His love, grace, and mercy to others!
